We did it! Paul pushed the light a bit tighter than he'd prefer, but he nailed it. Onwards to tomorrow and E2.

First lap done, PB'd both ends. The light wasn’t perfect, but the small changes Muz has made while I’ve been caught up with work have really pushed us in the right direction.

After word came through that we might not get a proper season this year, Muz and Paul were straight on the blower tossing ideas around. After a bit of back-and-forth, the line that summed it all up was loud and clear: “F it, why not! Let's do Tailem Bend"

Of course, the next question came just as quick: “Is the bike ready?” Cue a round of laughter and the honest reply: “F no! Neither’s the bloody trailer. Guess we’d better sort something out for both of them 😅.”*

Fast forward a couple of months, plenty more phone calls, and a bit of running around, and the whole show was finally ready to roll.

With school holidays on, Paul roped his youngest, Sam, in for the road trip. What more could a youngster ask for, right? Hours stuck in a car with nothing to do but game, occasionally glancing up at something Dad’s way too excited about. Bloody kids.

As Paul always says: “We’re not here to turn the world. Just go fast, and have a good laugh along the way.”

What a weekend! For those who know Muz and I, we're out there to have fun. If we make rounds that's a bonus for us. It's more about the laughs in the pits with mates. For us to to make the final on the weekend was an incredible feeling for both of us as it showed we have built a great bracket bike. There is a slight disappointment in loosing the final as that makes 2 Western Nationals in a row where we've walked away as a bridesmaid. One day we'll get there. It seems to be silver looks good on me 😅. Again congratulations to Tony on a well deserving win.

What weekend! 3 weeks ago we weren't even considering racing, to Paul being told Muz had entered him at the last minute so he better get the bike ready. Both Paul and Muz had joked they we going out in the first round as Paul hadn't been racing for a year so they would be happy to just watch the racing. To say the team is happy to walk away with second is an understatement as this is Paul's first tree.
