55 Central Maylands Crisis Accommodation provides vital support for men who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
Refurbishment works have begun to extend the life of the complex and ensure it continues to provide safe, stable and contemporary accommodation for Western Australian men in need.
Supported by a $1.6 million grant from the Cook Government, the upgrades will refurbish residential units and improve key communal spaces including the kitchen, lounge, dining and art rooms, as well as bathrooms and laundry facilities.
This investment helps ensure more men can access the support and stability they need, when they need it most.
It was great to be at Bardon Park recently to have a chat with the founder of Friends of Bardon Park, David D**e about all of the work the group have done in the area over the years.

Fantastic to pop into the Feed Me Morley food festival yesterday - presented by the City of Bayswater .
It was a great atmosphere, with lots of locals enjoying the event right in the heart of Morley!

The Cook Labor Government has delivered the new Go Anywhere Fare, meaning you can travel anywhere on the Transperth network for just $2.80 with SmartRider Autoload.
That means a trip from Maylands, Meltham, Bayswater or Morley Station to the Perth CBD or even the airport costs just $2.80.
We've also permanently made public transport free for school students and introduced free Transperth travel on Sundays.
Real cost of living relief, helping people get where they need to go for less.

I joined Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson to visit Glen and Shireen and see their newly installed home battery.
Through the WA Residential Battery Scheme, the Cook Labor Government is helping households reduce their energy bills with rebates and no-interest loans, while supporting WA's transition to cleaner energy.
