To the few I have that may follow I've got a small story for you.
Recently I took a trip to Jakarta, Indonesia. Arrived safely, waited at the airport like a good little boy for my lift to turn up. We'd never met B4 but she assured me that staying at her place for a month was quite OK. She didn't turn up so I grabbed a hotel & bunkered down for the night. Staying my first night in a hotel was not what I expected. Truthfully I have no memory from getting off the plane. A few days after arriving in Jakarta, I blacked out & went t**s up in the hotel room.
Hotel concierge stated that I must have been blacked out for at least a few days as when they came to check on me (to pay my bill) I was on the floor out like a light. They took me to hospital via ambulance & checked me in. It was some 48 hours afterwards that I managed to open my eyes. Obviously nothing was familiar & I thought I was having a dream. No one spoke English & I had a tube down my throat which restricted me from saying anything. The hospital also had me restrained with my hands & legs tied up. I thought this has gotta be a dream cause I would not let myself be restrained. I'm probably up for ransom some where? But who would pay for my ransom?? Some bloody idiot that's who!!! They told me in a broken English dialect that my condition was serious. I'd had a stroke, a heart attack, a collapsed lung & a cerabal contusion (bleeding on the brain). At this point I thought someone was playing a joke on me so I looked around to see where the bloody rat bag was. No one jumped out. So 4 weeks in an Indonesian Hospital & I couldn't talk for the first 2 weeks as I had a piece of tubing down my throat to incubate my lung that had collapsed (yeah right. Still not a believer!) Honestly, how the hell I survived this is anyones guess. Even my own doctor here in Perth when my son told him the news stated that I would not survive. So I've just completed another 2 weeks in a Perth hospital as everyone wanted me to get checked out. The doctors here scratched their heads after looking at the discharge summary (written by a 16 year old!!Probably?) & came up with the fact that I probably had a hypo first (a diabetic coma) where my sugars went very low & I just collapsed to the floor. Dangerous as that is, how I survived 4 days in a coma is anyones guess. Not extraordinarily happy with the Jakarta hospital as I was tied up & restrained for 2 weeks. Was told that I had to s**t & p*e in my pants & the nurses would clean me up (some 14 hours later) Couldn't even scratch my nose. Wasn't fed for the first 2 weeks until the tubes in my throat were removed. They actually threatened me when they were to release me that IF I caused a problem they would tie me up again. The biggest problem was the hospital bill which was $15,000aud & of course I couldn't pay it. I'm on nothing more than an old age pension so they rang my son & asked him to pay it. Stating that if the bill is NOT paid Dads NOT coming home. Usually when I travel I do take out Travel Insurance BUT this time I forgot. Just a simple mistake as I was a little nervous going to meet this lass. My suggestion here is take 5 minutes out of your day B4 you travel & get yourself covered by insurance. My problem now, is that no Insurance Company will accept me for cover as I'm a disaster waiting to happen. So much for traveling during my retirement.
One of the most delicious dinners we have ever had here in Bali. Inclusive of drinks (cocktails🍸), desert and a marriage proposal, the whole night cost me $49. I'm happy.

I am stuck in a restaurant in the Monkey Forest in Bali (our honeymoon) with this beautiful lady. She has already said yes, which makes me the luckiest man on earth.
