If you are renting at the moment, you are exactly where I was 17 years ago when I made the worst property mistake of my life. A mistake that cost me nearly $300,000 in 5 years! You see, when I arrived in Perth in 2002, I knew very little about the local property market. So while my friends were literally making money while they slept in the comfort of their own new homes, I was battling rent increases every year, rent inspections and bad service from a landlord whose mortgage I was paying off.

10 years ago, I made a career change and became a professional property developer. Since then, I've helped hundreds of people get into a home of their own and managed my own successful family developments. The Perth housing market has stayed almost flat sine 2007, but now is the first time in over a decade that I am extremely excited about the potential of Perth's property market.
