Structerre Consulting was proud to be part of the 2026 Housing Industry Association - HIA National Conference on the Gold Coast on the weekend, bringing together industry professionals from across the country for two days of connection, learning, and innovation.

Our senior executive team including John Gelavis, Mathanki Aru, and David Mays attended on behalf of Structerre who immersed themselves in a dynamic program of sessions, workshops, catching up with so many of our amazing clients to discuss how the market is evolving and future engineering innovation in residential engineering.

A key highlight was the “Your AI Apprentice” workshop, part of the conference’s concurrent session program. The session explored the growing role of AI in construction and engineering, with a focus on practical applications, digital transformation, and future industry capability.

Events like the HIA National Conference continue to reinforce the importance of innovation, digital adoption, and staying aligned with emerging trends shaping the future of construction and engineering in Australia.

The conference included the 2026 HIA Australian Housing Awards. Congratulations to Gold Coast builder Mactech Constructions for winning the 2026 HIA Australian Home of the Year and all the winners and finalists.
