Surgery triggers a metabolic stress response — meaning your body’s demand for protein, vitamins and minerals increases during recovery.
Nutrients such as vitamin C (for collagen synthesis), vitamin A (for cell regeneration) and zinc (for immune support and wound healing) play a measurable role in tissue repair. Adequate protein intake is equally important to support rebuilding and minimise muscle loss.
What that looks like in real food terms:
🥝 Vitamin C — citrus fruit, kiwi fruit, berries, capsicum, broccoli
🥕 Vitamin A — carrots, sweet potato, pumpkin, spinach
🫘 Zinc — legumes, nuts, seeds, whole grains
🐟 Protein — eggs, fish, chicken, Greek yoghurt, tofu, lentils
Recovery is not only about rest. It is also about providing your body with the biological building blocks required for healing.
Always follow the personalised advice provided during your consultation.

BEFORE + AFTER
Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty
Before and after photos of a 32-year-old patient, showing results six weeks following lower eyelid blepharoplasty. This patient presented with under-eye puffiness and excess lower eyelid skin contributing to a tired appearance, which could not be improved through skincare or lifestyle measures.
This is an actual patient who has consented to the use of their images.
Surgery performed by Dr Rohan Page, Specialist Plastic Surgeon. AHPRA Registration Number: MED0001531370.
If you are considering a procedure, book a consultation on 08 9380 0388.
Individual results will vary from patient to patient and depend on factors including anatomy, genetics, skin quality and healing response. All invasive surgery carries risk and requires a recovery period and care regime. Information about surgical risks and complications can be found in the link in our bio. Be sure you do your research and seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified Specialist Plastic Surgeon before proceeding. Any details are general in nature and are not intended to be medical advice or constitute a doctor–patient relationship.

End The Trend — because skin cancer should never be trending.
In Australia, tanning is still linked with health and beauty, despite clear evidence that UV exposure increases skin cancer risk and accelerates skin ageing.
This message aligns closely with Dr Rohan Page’s work, where reconstructive surgery following skin cancer forms part of his clinical practice.
Healthy skin isn’t tanned — it’s protected.
Slip, slop, slap, seek and slide.
Download the app to easily check your local UV index. You can even turn on notifications to receive alerts whenever sun protection is needed.

We tend to assume that if a product feels good, it must be doing something useful.
But skin is a barrier. It’s designed to keep things out. That means many skincare ingredients, especially larger ones, don’t travel very far below the surface. In skin science, this is often described by what’s known as the “500 Dalton rule”.
Skincare still has value. Hydration, comfort and barrier support matter. But this is why topical products don’t always create the kind of deeper change people expect.

Thinking about getting back to exercise after breast implant surgery?
While movement supports recovery and wellbeing, timing and progression matter. Returning too quickly or too intensely can interfere with healing and implant positioning.
Dr Rohan Page provides personalised post-operative guidance to help patients return to activity safely and gradually.

The cosmetic surgery guidelines created by the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons ( ) provide clear, comprehensive information for anyone considering a cosmetic procedure.
They cover how to choose the right surgeon, what to expect in consultation, and what happens before, during and after surgery. These guides are designed to help patients understand each stage of the process and make informed decisions about their care.

Cosmetic tourism packages can appear appealing, but travelling overseas for surgery involves important safety considerations.
Understanding the medical environment, access to consultation, and availability of follow-up care is essential before making any decision.
For independent guidance, patients can refer to the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)

Cosmetic tourism is rising, and so are the risks.
Style Magazine recently explored why more Australians are travelling overseas for cosmetic procedures, and the findings should give anyone pause.
Overseas surgery packages often look glossy and convenient, but surgery is never simple. Safe hospital standards, thorough planning, specialist training and dependable aftercare can vary widely from country to country.
In Australia, specialist plastic surgeons such as Dr Rohan Page complete more than a decade of accredited training and work within strict safety and regulatory frameworks. This means patients receive clear consent processes, evidence based planning and long term follow up that genuinely supports safer outcomes.
If you are comparing your options, focus on more than the price.
✔ training and qualifications
✔ hospital standards
✔ surgical planning
✔ aftercare and long term support
Your body deserves reputable care, not a rushed decision.

Rapid weight loss is reshaping more than waistlines, many people are noticing changes in their facial appearance, whether the loss is natural, lifestyle-driven or supported by medications like Ozempic or Mounjaro.
These shifts aren’t caused by one specific drug; they relate to reduced facial fat, natural ageing, and the way the skin adapts when the body changes quickly.
If your face looks different and you’re unsure why, a clinical consultation can help clarify what’s happening and which options may be suitable for your individual circumstances. This may include skincare guidance, non-surgical collagen-supporting treatments, or, where appropriate, surgical options.
