Exciting changes are on the way for William Bay National Park!
Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks will soon feature safer, more accessible paths, steps, boardwalks and viewing platforms.
Work kicks off in June and includes an accessible lookout over Greens Pool plus a back‑of‑beach boardwalk - perfect for relaxing and taking in the stunning views.
The park will remain open during construction, though some paths and trails may be closed at times - alternative access routes will be available where possible. Elephant Rocks beach will likely be closed for the duration of the works.
Thanks for your patience while we make these improvements and, if you'd like to know more about the project https://www.dbca.wa.gov.au/management/park-and-infrastructure-projects/william-bay-national-park-infrastructure-project

What a storm! We hope you stayed safe.
Things are starting to settle but there’s still plenty of clean-up ahead across our parks.
If you’re heading out, please take extra care on roads and trails - there may be fallen branches, uprooted trees, debris, or other hazards that haven’t been cleared yet and be aware that trees and limbs may fall unpredictably and without warning.
Some park facilities may also be damaged or temporarily unavailable following the storm.
Our teams are out there working through it, but it may take a little while to get everything back to normal. Please follow signage and redirections and keep yourself safe.

Severe weather warning this long weekend ⚠️
Several key sites in the South West are expected to close over the long weekend, including the Giants Cave, Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree, Tree Top Walk, and a number of campgrounds and access roads.
Parks, trails, attractions and campgrounds in the Midwest, South West and Perth metropolitan area and down to the south coast may close at short notice due to extreme weather or safety concerns.
If you’re heading to WA’s south-western coastline this long weekend, please take extra care and stay informed.
For the latest updates on park, campground and trail closures, check Park Alerts https://alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au
🌊 Dangerous coastal conditions are expected, including large swells and tidal surges that can quickly inundate beaches and low-lying areas and rock platforms.
💨 Very strong winds may bring down trees and branches, making walking tracks and campgrounds hazardous.
🌧️ Heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding, especially in gorges, river crossings and low-lying areas.
Your safety is your responsibility – if conditions look unsafe, be prepared to change your plans or reconsider your visit.
