This weeks footage 🎬comes from our seasons second matchup against Noranda💪. No footage from last weeks scheduled match with a gimme 3 points when our rivals had to forfeit the fixture😢. Not so this week with Noranda sporting a healthy 15 man line up👏. Last time we met, our girls walked away with a dominant 9/2 win🥳🔥. However, with Noranda improving in all their second round games👊, including almost stealing a point from Bassendean in a recent 3/2 thriller😲, nothing was taken for granted. Plus, as with most of our past games with Noranda, 🤔plenty of spice was anticipated.
No Chelsea, Little Jess or Di for this one, however 🥳Gabs wanted to test her ankle with a few small runs after being absent for the past five weeks. She joined 💃Linda, Maddie, Kid Kinkaid, Lisa, The Roach, G, Big Red, Sal the Favourite, Renee, Big Jess (AKA Clydesdale Jess,) Briar, Cheyenne and Shelberry💃.
The game was just a few minutes underway when after a series of touches, losing then regaining possession, a deft left foot flick from G set Shelby on her way. 🔥Running direct toward goal with a touch or two, Shelby rewarded the play by neatly slotting it well out of reach of the keeper.💪
Noranda constructed a few forward half moves, however we were building play after play of deep forward surges😘, placing plenty of strain on Noranda’s defensive line🥵.
Cheyenne came extremely close 🤏if not for a nice reflex keeper save, but the excitement may of been too much for Sally who needed some respite from an ensuing asthma attack.🥴
Errors were being forced 👊and it was Cheyenne who came closest again, attempting to guide home a corner ball provided by her sibling👏. Briar then tried her luck, chipping too high, 👏but the next break through came with what I’m claiming as, a super sub.💪
Gabs took the field and as she pressured the well weighted G set piece, Gabs first touch resulted in the ball falling nicely to Shelbs, 🔥who had timed her run perfectly to tap home our second. Before anyone had time to take a breath, 😲within a minute of the restart, Super G made an interception💪, laid it off to Briar who spied the cue being given by our forwards👊. An exquisite through ball was pounced upon by Shelby 🔥who took one touch before powering home the shot on goal. Although the keeper closed the angle well, 🤔and maybe could have done better with the attempted parry, the firm strike rewarded Shelby a 12 minute hattrick, 💃a testament to some impressive team plays.🥳🥳🥳
When Red took a throw in a few minutes later, Jess’ flick to the running Gabs who improvised from a bad first touch, made amends quickly with a delicate pass through to free the unmarked Briar for a one on one with the keeper. 🔥After a small first touch, a quick back lift of her left foot was too quick for the advancing keeper.
The score had quickly blown out and 🤔Noranda had to make changes for damage control and halt the one sidedness. 👏👏Bolstering their defences allowed them to finally settle and immediately from the restart, Noranda began matching our girls with the amount of forward runs. 🤔It was just a matter of who would score next. And it would be Noranda who took the opportunity at the 25 minute mark 🔥with a back post tap home from and uncleared corner.👏
Briar came close as she struck the upright😲. Sally hinted 🙄her desire to return to the field. Big Jess had a decent crack 👏that sailed wide. Then Noranda hit the upright with a decent smack from distance👏. Shelby, who btw is desperate to prove to the coach she can score with both feet, 😬had a fair attempt with her left 🤏but was just slightly askew of the target. 4/1 at the break.💃💃💃
In the opening minutes of the second half, Roach set up Briar who was superbly denied at the front post😲. A short time later the roles were reversed with Roach being denied by the diving keeper😮. Jess had an attempt with the head👏, all the meanwhile our defensive line were holding firm 💪💪and keeping Noranda well contained.🥳
Shelby banshee screaming at an inquisitive magpie was a jovial release 😂😂amongst some hardness in plays, forcing her to swap sides of the ground. After she stopped using G as a protective shield that is.🤣🤣
Gabi almost scored a sweet cross goal strike😲, disappointingly watching it ricochet of the post. Another great opportunity presented as Cheyenne and Shelby broke the offside trap when G provided, however a 🤏slightly over hit left forced Shelbs wide and the chance went begging.😢
Cheyenne was denied a short while later, 👊and even though our final third runs and tally of shots on goal soared, 💃no joy was being received. 😒
Renee had a decent go with the head👏, Shelby hit a little too straight🤏, and with some of the hardness seen, both sides had their frustrations😩. Sally had seen enough 🙄and demanded to be put back on, and then watched on as Briar was brilliantly denied by the outstretched foot of the keeper 😩who was all but beaten. Never mind, 🤔because before the cheers for the awesome save had barely subsided, 🔥the resultant corner was volleyed home by Sal, 🤔......although Big Jess had also tried to claim it, sporting Sally’s sprig marks on her thigh.
And that was it. 👏👏A stronger defensive performance in the second period by Noranda and some genius in goal denied a larger return from what was an impressive team game by our girls.💃💃💃💃
Well done to all who participated and cheers to all the supporters present for the spectacle.👏👏

☀️Warmish weather for our second matchup against Bassendean Caledonians, this time at their home ground, Jubilee Reserve. In our first meet, 😔Bassendean went down to ten players in the second half, losing two girls to injury. A comfortable 3/1 win for us resulted with fatigue being a partial factor.
This game Bassendean had a full bench to choose from👊. For us, still no Chelsea or Gabs, but we had the same compliment as last week’s match, with a change of timetable affording us the extra two players that would have been unavailable with the previously listed earlier kickoff💃. Good fortune for us with Bassendean having the seasons leading goal scorer in the lineup👏, one focus in our combative plan💪.
Making the match, 🥳Linda, Maddie, Lisa, Briar, Kid Kinkaid, The Roach, Di, G, Sal the Favourite, Renee, Clydesdale Jess, Little Jess, Red, Cheyenne and Shelberry.
Camera issues🙄 in the first fifteen minutes with over heating was annoying, with smoother sailing secured under the cover of shade. 🤔Probably a good thing too as the zoom would have been working overtime trying to capture Di’s one on one shot that sailed high over the cross bar, then bounced harmlessly off a Russian satellite, before burning up during re entry. Well that’s how some sports enthusiast commentated the play. 🤔I think it was Amir.
Anyway, she choked😬, 🤏plus their were also a couple non captured half chances by other players from both sides. 👏
Basso’s closest opportunity presented from a corner set piece, 😮being twice cleared off the line by Super G💪. With the chance gone, 🤦♀️Bassendean may have rued the miss when not long after, the Kid Kinkaid took on most of the defence🔥, coming out on top and sweetly secured the games opener.🥳
Shelby continued running havoc and causing all sorts of mischief up front😏, and another Bassendean set piece just needed a touch to find the net🤏, however it found its way through to Linda, who safely secured the attempt.👊
Amongst complaints of hardness🙅🏼♀️, next close call was Cheyenne, 😲who found herself inches away from scoring from a delicious Shelby through ball. Then right on the stroke of half time, 😰Callies looked to equalise when another goal mouth scrabble ensued, 👊once again our defence coming to the rescue.🤜🏿
The first decent chance after the restart fell the way of Shelby🤭, until the keeper mopped up the spill😫. Good hardness was flowing from both teams💪, however Sof’s muscle was a little too creative 🤔with her pressure on keeper Linda, when she tried to draw the game level. 😬No goal of course.
But Basso kept the pressure on 😰and had three quick opportunities in succession, pushing ever nearer to success🤏. Then the break through followed. 🥳From another corner play and a brief struggle for the pill, this time midfielder Milena coming up trumps👏 to the sound the home ground hoard healthily celebrating.🎉
Stalemate followed for the next ten minutes🤭, during which Maddie was subbed of with injury😔. Then half the onlookers sat stunned 😳with silence when in the blink of an eye, the other crowd chanted and cheered🥳💃 when the Cheeseballs took the lead once more. 🎉🎉
A ridiculous handball decision had incensed Di 😡more that the coach🤏😬, and perhaps still peeved from her woeful miss first half🤪, she took the gift to produce a “take that” moment, freely wording the phrase as she produced a gem👊. Ten seconds after the adjudicated foul restart, Di latched onto a lax Bassendean back pass, freeing Shelby ⚽️🏃♀️who got the jump on some loose marking. Driving toward the stricken Bassendean keeper, 🥳Shelbs skilfully tapped it around her for the tantalising tuck in finish🔥.
One calamitous moment 😲in the final period gave Basso a decent sniff of an equaliser to share the points🤏, and G had pushed hard with a Shelby run to try and extend the lead👏, but that was all she wrote and as the final whistle sounded, the double was complete.💃
It wasn’t the prettiest of football by our girls, being capable of more, and watching Bassendean’s midfield control much of the games tempo was impressive. However once again our defensive work, coupled with the teams desire to push til the end, kept the concession low on the scorecard and successfully added another three point to our impressive season’s tally.
Congrats to both teams on their seasons progressions.👏👏👏👏
Special mention for little Jess, 🙄who once again has been the victim of an, “I don’t know what happened” unmolested ankle injury event that plagues her🤦♀️. Jumping joyfully in an onfield mud puddle pre game🌧💩 - 6 weeks out. Falling off a table, 🍻drunk of course - 3 weeks. Pretending to 🤸🏼♀️parkour down stairs - 4 weeks. Mis kicking a h***y nut👩🏻🦽 - also 4 weeks. This game, 🤷♂️no idea what was going on there - tba weeks. 🤔Not bad for a couple seasons effort🙄.

This week’s highlights come from our seasons second battle with Sorrento.👏
In the blustery conditions💨, audio quality is annoying at times, however plenty of decent football by both teams was seen as they adjusted to the hard conditions👊.
In our first clash, 💃our girls ran out comfortable 7 nil winners after Sorrento, who were void of substitutions, played out half the game with only ten men after an injury forced a player to the sidelines.
Plagued with fluctuating numbers from absences throughout the season, Sorrento was excited to have 14 on the card for this one🥳. Given some recent exciting results of late by Sorrento✅, including a draw with Ellenbrook 🥳and a win against North Beach💪, a strong contest was expected.
Still without Chelsea and Gabs😢, plus Sally was wagging this one🙄, we had 14 players ourselves to contest with.👊
Captained by Briar, we offered Linda, Maddie Lisa, Kid Kinkaid, The Roach, Red, G, Di, Renee, Little Jess, Clydesdale Jess, Cheyenne and Shelberry.
We kicked with the strong breeze first half and spent some good periods in our attacking half💪, however solid defensive work by Sorrento halted much of our forward assaults😢. Likewise, midfield competency by Sorrento saw the ball pushed into their final third often, but our defence left little for keeper Linda to do, except one excellent save which denied Sorrento their best opportunity of the half.👊
We had several clear attempts and after fair efforts by both G and Shelby, when they combined about 15 minutes in, 🔥 Shelby neatly lifted over the keeper for the perfect finish. Another 15 minutes passed, during which both Alyssa and Shelbs were denied by solid keeping👏, when Maddie’s small run, which included 11 touches💪 ended when Shelby faked her opposing player and curled the ball sweetly into the corner of the net🔥.
The final ten minutes of the half saw Sorrento with copious amounts of forward play, but sadly no joy on the score board. For us, Shelbs came close and within moments after her taking a corner kick, Big Jess was on target with the head however the reaching keeper plucked the ball to safety.👏👏
In the second period, the girls were asked for a concerted effort for an early 3 goal buffer💪, and Alyssa came close🤏 in the opening minute. A minute later and after having the ball tapped from her attempted header by the keeper, Big Jess knocked home the goal after Di had put it to her foot.🔥
Sorrento settled quicker into the now opposing wind conditions and had a number of positive forward plays before our girls settle back into some nice rhythm.
At the 65 minute mark and after being denied by keeper Linda shortly before, Sorrento were awarded what seemed to be the softest of penalties, 🤔with no one sure why the ref had blown his whistle? Regardless, 👊Sorrento’s keeper was asked to step up for the challenge, which presented to be the simplest of tasks as she coolly, yet emphatically slotted it well out of our keeper’s reach🔥.
For the remainder of the game, both teams created some pleasing opportunities, however neither keeper was troubled. 👏There was some brief excitement when a player or two thought their team mate had scored from a corner, 😬however it had floated just on the wrong side of happiness.🤏
3/1 the final score at the whistle of a worthy spectacle. 👏👏👏And well done both teams for their efforts of a ground game is very trying conditions.💪

This weeks outdoor footage has come from our seasons second, and home game, against the high achieving Redbacks.🕷 In our first game, the Redbacks ran out winners with a 3 nil win 👏however, 🤔the score line didn’t reflect our involvement in the game and the competency level reached by all involved. 👊I had rated that game as a very successful achievement against a well drilled outfit.✅
In the previous 10 games played, Redbacks had only conceded four goals💪, including two that table toppers Hammersley put past them in their first meet. When our girls coveted themselves in glory and were the only team to date to take points from a Hammersley matchup, 💪that score had assisted the Redbacks with a chance of finishing top of the table should they win all remaining games, and topple Hammersley in the final game of the season.
No Chelsea or Gabs for this one and the formation set was the same as we played in the achieving Hammersley rivalry.
In the line up, 💃Linda, Maddie, Lisa, Briar, The Roach, Di, G, Sal the Favourite, Clydesdale Jess, Little Jess, Renee, Cheyenne, Red, Kid Kinkaid and Shelberry.💃
For over twenty minutes our girls kept the ball well away from troubling keeper Linda, 👊and we even created a few opportunistic moves up front, resulting with some shots on target, but none worrying the Redback’s keeper. Plenty of pleasing football was being seen, however frustratingly our play broke down often with loose first touch, poor disposals and well read interceptions by the Redback hoard.😢
The Redbacks finally undone our defence with a player splitting pass that was first denied by the keeper, then finished successfully on the second attempt.👏
The Redbacks continued to keep the lions’ share of possession, however they were unable to generate any other attacks of significance in the half.
During the break, the focus spoken about was the lack of hardness, some flimsy off the ball work rates, and positive disposals, or lack there of by too many of our girls. All were asked to dig deeper and focus predominantly in those three areas to markedly improve our performance.💪💪💪
The Redbacks seemingly had focus areas of their own emphasised, and from the restart, they pushed hard to try and achieve the valuable two goal buffer quickly. And boy they came close with a surging 15 minute push, however our defence held firm👊, Linda was well behind the strikes👊, and opportunities were missed. 👊Despite the hard passage by Redbacks, our girls were individually performing to a higher standard of their best, ✅and many entertaining passages of play pleased the coach and fanatics on the sideline.👏👏👏👏
When Alyssa broke through into the 18 yard box, a leveller looked certain. 🤔Sadly the Kid Kinkaid had caught a dose of Grafton, 🙄skying the ball high and wide.😬
Weathering the storm well, our girls slowly recaptured some good possession percentage, 💪working the ball well through the thirds. Big Jess held up play and earned herself a free a few yards left of our attacking 18 yard box, presenting a decent set piece opportunity.👊
Briar stepped up and was asked to have a crack, and why not when the outstretched arms of the keeper was unable to reach the inch perfect shot🥳. Scores were levelled and the Redbacks responded by putting more fire power up front with a three man forward line.
With the added strength, the Redbacks worked furiously to regain the lead and within 8 minutes, a set piece for them was presented from a tight angle from the right side of the box. After the cross, an attempted clearance dropped to the foot of an awaiting Redback, who emphatically belted it through traffic and into the net. 👏Settling again with the restored one goal lead, both teams continued to fight hard to gain yardage until the next possibility at goal. Surges were even and opportunities looked likely, particularly when with ten minutes to go, Alyssa was fouled on the edge of the D and directly in front. 🍿🍿🍿Briar took the reigns against a three man wall, 😲however her on target strike was too direct towards the keeper. A second however however, when desperate defenders tried to clear the ball but were unsuccessful, deflecting the ball from the keeper’s grasp and into the net.🥳👊💃😬
From the restart, our girls quickly regained possession and after halting our advance a couple times within moments, the ball fell nicely to G who thought she’d have a ping from near on the next suburb out from goal. A typical Grafton was expected, 🙄however, this particular hit was well kept down and as the advancing keeper looked set to collect, 🍿🍿🍿🍿😲😲😲😲😲the ball bounced unceremoniously over her head. 💃🥳💃All that was left was to pick the ball out of the net and the desperation was intense for the final nine minutes of the game.
The ball was hard fought for by all and leaving only a two man defence, the Redbacks assaulted their attacking half relentlessly. 😥😥Long shots were fired in, hectic goal mouth scrambles ensued🥵🥵. The Redbacks came agonisingly close🤏, then the final whistled sounded to the jubilation of many, and disappointment to others.🎇🎆🎉
3/2 to our girls and what a fantastic 3 points to add to our growing tally.👏👏👏
Outstanding ladies.😘👌

Been a long while since the last post, but rest assured there has been plenty of involvement throughout West Coast Futsal by at least a dozen of our girls, mixing it up at several venues.
With outdoor, our Ballajura ladies have so far exceeded expectations in the higher division, sitting poised in third position with over half way of the interrupted season behind them.
The camera was dusted off for our second lot of games against the teams in the division, with these snippets from our away game to Joondalup.
With a couple big names in Chelsea (broken wrist) and Gabs (screwed ankle ligaments) from the past weeks games, we would need to juggle a few positions to bolster our high hopes. Joondalup nicked the points in the first round in a tight 2/1 finish. Our girls were keen to reverse this one.
Little Jess and her rolled ankle was keen to add to the numbers, bravely joining Big Jess, Briar, Cheyenne, Linda, Renee, The Roach, Red, Di, Maddie, Lisa, Sal the Favourite, Kid Kinkaid, Screamin’ G and Shelberry.
The allocated ref never turned up and reffing duties were delegated to yours truly.
An early hand ball infraction against Shelby’s on target strike resulted in a penalty. From the spot kick, Shelby’s corner bound strike was almost denied by the keeper in her athletic attempt to save it.
A couple decent chances went begging for our ladies, and with a few decent forward surgesthemselves, Joondalup came close to opening their account.
When Renee found herself positioned well from an attempted clearance, she pounced and drove the ball firmly into the net from just inside the 18 yard box.
Early into the second period, after a nice forward movement which nearly looked stalled, Alyssa’s well weighted volley was enough to beat the outstretched arm of the keeper.
Despite a mounting forward half presence, the Joondalup defence denied a number of our girls' attempts on goal, plus a couple slightly wide of target shots missed the mark. Persistence paid off when Briar’s on target strike was deflected and took the ball away from the keeper, before striking the upright and going in.
The final goal came a few minutes after the crossbar had been hit from another nice forward play. Shelby was cocked to fire at goal when the ball was deliberately hand balled away from her strike path. Injured moments after the cry of the foul, Shelby was unable to take the spot kick. Di choked with buck fever at the opportunity presented, so Briar stepped up and securely found the corner.
In the final minutes, Joondalup had the better of the forward attempts, but the score remained 5 nil at the final whistle.
Well done to both teams and all involved.

Our ladies Grand final at Sporties went ahead, scraping in before the lockdowns, however it was still plagued with issues.
A training accident to Neymar’s Lisa🚑 the evening before, resulted with only three Neymars available for the final. After sneaking through last week with four players, the Neymars were looking forward to the challenge, but three against Carioca was a tall ask. The famous line from The Castle sprang to mind. “Tell him he’s dreaming.”
Sad for the Neymars with their undefeated season, but tough ti***es. No mollycoddling here.
Carioca’s berth into the GF was sadly by forfeit, however neither Carioca or Sporties would be satisfied with a free GF win under the same circumstances. Solution... two Neymars combined with three Pink Bits to offer up some competition.
Shelby and Maddie from the 🤓🥽Neymars. Kylie, Dani and Chelsea from the 👙👚Pinkies. Combined, the 👙🤓Pink Neymars took on six from 💜💫Carioca, with Renee, Linda, Kristina, Sarah, Nakisa and Rose in the line up.
The Pink Neymars PN’s pushed hard in the early minutes with several attempts on goal, 🔥however it was Carioca seizing the opportunity for first blood. After the ball ricocheted of the front post and snuck behind the keeper, Sarah was Johnny on the spot for the tap in.
Carioca then settled, however the PN’s Neymars continued the pressure and finally found reward. 🔥Shelby’s interception led to a short drive and emphatic finish, drawing level.
Shot for shot followed for a short time before the deadlock was broken. 🔥This time Maddie intercepted a Carioca play and with the quick lay off, Shelby surely slotted it home.
The lead was short lived when a couple minutes before the half, 🔥a nice one two play on the counter had Kristina levelling the scores.
From the restart the PN’s opened with a flurry and before Carioca had settled in, 🔥Chelsea fed Dani who’s accurate strike was too good for keeper Linda. The PN’s nearly went two up, which would have made it interesting, being denied by the upright. Sad too because in a blink, 🔥🔥Carioca were back in front when Renee smacked in a brace. When two more unanswered goals, 🔥one by Kristina and the other by 🔥Rose, put Carioca in a commanding 6/3 position, all looked lost for the Neymars with only a couple minutes to go.
But a life line was restored 🔥when Chelsea’s hit and hope slipped under keeper Linda’s fingers, presenting a small glimmer of possibility for the PN’s. 🔥However, when Renee’s sideline free caught the keeper out, Kristina took the opportunity to seal her hattrick with A Roach, stealing the goal with an easy tap in on the line.
7/4 in favour of Carioca. Well done ladies.
Renee picked up the match mvp, good job Renoodle.
💃💃🥳🥳🥅💫💜⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️🔥⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️👙🤓🥅🥳🥳💃💃

Footage comes from two games from the last two weeks, with several games not going ahead due to forfeits. Nothing to do with the Corona virus though.🙄
Carioca were due to play their semi final this week, however their opposition were unavailable. They will play the winners of the Pink Bits verses Nguyen’s Neymars which was a hotly contested game. Highlights in this mix.
The Locos played the White Ninjas this week, not filmed, the Ninjas fighting hard in the second half to comeback and level the match six all by the final whistle.
The first section of footage is from Sally’s Ninjas taking on Nguyen’s Neymars a fortnight ago. For the Neymars, Lisa, Briar, Shelby, Cheyenne and Maddie.
In a dominant display, the Neymars ran out 10/1 victors. Four goals to Shelby, a hat trick for Cheyenne, two to Briar and a solo for Lisa. Caroline scored for the Ninjas. Sally was solid in goal and foiled many Neymar efforts. Sadly, one of the Ninja chicks had to have her arm immobilised after hard contact with the turf, sustaining ligament damage.
The semi final between Pink Bits and Nguyen’s Neymars was set to be a tough affair for the Neymars, stranded with only four players available for the rest of the season. In this game, Lisa, Maddie, Shelby and Alyssa took to the field. For the Pinkies, Kylie, Little Jess, Chelsea, Super G, Dani and The Roach, all geared up and ready to work the Neymars ragged and breathless.
It started well for the Pinkies, peppering away at goal with ease, but unable to find the back of the net. The Neymars found their way into the game and broke the deadlock, with a cheeky little meg by Alyssa on keeper Dani.
The Pinkies responded quickly with Chelsea accurately popping one in off the post, then a couple plays later, Little Jess scored a spectacular with the head from a deft Dani side chip. Other chances fell for both teams, but strong keeping denied all, and at the half time hiatus, the Pinkies were one up.
In the second half, athletic saves by Lisa kept her Neymars in the hunt, and midway through the half, Alyssa answered the call and drew scores level. In a flash, the Neymars found themselves one up after Lisa’s long keeper throw saw Shelbs outwit Dani then tap home.
More keeper saves either end followed with both teams desperate to score. Would it be the Neymars with a two goal cushion, or the Pinkies to keep grand final hopes alive.
When Alyssa scored from Maddie’s sideline chip, all hopes look lost for the Pinkies. But with Ninety seconds to go, The Roach’s intercept and subsequent feed to Dani saw a quick counter finish, setting up and exciting last minute to the game. Would it go to penalties?

With the men’s finals taking place, I was lucky enough to film all three ladies matches this week. And boy am I glad I did, with three excellent games full of skill and fight on display. Quality futsal definitely worth a share or two. Apologies in advance for any disturbances heard from the men’s games, captured in the highlights selected. They were a tad boisterous at times.
Game one had the 🤪🤪Locos verses 👢🐓🐓Kicken Chickens. Sarah from the Chickens had five others in the line up, the Locos, who are third on the ladder once corrected, had no subs available for this meet.
Sarah showed early she was going to be her usual goal stopping beast, 🔥however an attempted double save found its way off the post and in, giving the Locos the match opener. The Chickens pushed hard for an equaliser, including Maggie hitting the upright, and forward assaults by both teams became frequent. Sarah racked up a tally of saves, but found herself one on one too many times, 🔥the Locos pressure reaping a second reward before the end of the half.
In the opening minutes of the second period, the Chickens had a couple glorious opportunities to pull back the deficit, perhaps Tash’s effort coming the closest.
🔥Then came a cross court play which saw the Locos catch Sarah stranded, with a poke home the easiest of finishes. End for end plays for the remainder of the match, perhaps Sarah the busier of the keepers, but masterfully denying all further Loco attempts. Great game by all.
💃💃💃🥳🥳🥅🤪🤪⚽️⚽️⚽️🔥🍩👢🐓🐓🥅🥳🥳💃💃💃
A small tangling delay for the Carioca-Nguyen’s Neymars match up, seemingly boring Alyssa, however this game was a possible view of the potential final, should both be successful in their likely semi berths. With the Neymars short players for the set final date, Carioca could just be the favourites for the title this season. In this 🤓🥽Neymar lineup, Lisa, Shelby, Alyssa, Maddie and Briar. For 💫💜Carioca, Renee, Kristina, Linda and Nakisa, squaddie Chelsea assisting. Neither team sported a substitute.
Strong plays from the get go, with both teams driving deep and attacking the goals. Renee had the best of the earlier opportunities, 🔥but the building pressure from the Neymars saw Alyssa score a gem of a goal, striking high and in off the crossbar. The Neymars then briefly dominated the goal assaults, 🔥however Renee’s accurate strike too quick for the diving Lisa, and scores were levelled.
More surging by the Neymars followed, but Linda was too savvy in goal, denying all efforts. That is, 🔥until Lisa’s trickery and wayward deflection from her shot, finally saw the games next goal. No more successes followed for the half, although Chelsea came close several times for Carioca.
The physicality continued by both teams and forward plays were regular and riveting. Briar hit the upright early, and Renee saw her strike curve mercilessly past the post. Lisa made a couple repetitive reflex saves to deny Carioca the equaliser, then in a passage that had both teams claiming foul, 🔥the continued play resulted with Alyssa sneaking home a third for the Neymars. Skilled keeping denied the Neymars a quick fourth, 🔥before Renee’s intercept and calm play set Nakisa up for the Carioca finish. 3/2 the score win plenty on the clock. A three v one break set the Neymars up for a fourth, however Linda nearly foiled the attempt, 🔥Shelby finishing Maddie’s denied effort. Carioca came close to setting up an exciting finish, then the last couple attempts went the way of the Neymars. A great contest ladies.

Both 🗼🦶🏽European Soul and 👚👙Pink Bits have been plagued with unavailable members of late, but both teams managed to borrow and field a team for this game with a few new faces seen, including the return of much loved Jess Bower, née Leitao. European Soul played without a sub but had Tash, Anna, Steph?, Amy? and a newby. The Pinkies were fortunate to have respite available with both Jess’, Kylie, The Roach, Dani and Chelsea on hand.
European Soul were brutal with their defence splitting passages of play, and after Big Jess was denied by the upright, 🔥European Soul reaped first reward with such a play, a nice attacking move which had Anna for the finish. As Pink Bits began working themselves into the game, Kylie assisted by saving a couple on target gems, however shortly after a keeper change, 🔥European Soul had their second, Anna latching onto a parried attempt for her second, Kylie moaning how she was obviously the better keeper. The Pinkies upped their shot tally, but sadly found themselves down a third, 🔥when Anna’s return pass saw an own goal result. 🤔Mmm. Maybe the better keeper but...... 😬When Chelsea hit the post, and Big Jess followed suit a play later, it looked as though the Pinkies would be void of luck all game. But that wasn’t the case as they pushed on and found favour with the goal God. 🔥Kylies intercept and follow up run had Big Jess lay it on a plate for her, and Kylie jubilantly applied the finishing touch and claimed amends. With spirits now lifted, solid defending, Little Jess still holding onto her bladder, 🔥team fortitude resulted with a sideline play pulling back a second, Chelsea slotting it home with the left. 🔥Then the comeback was completed a minute later when The Roach intercepted and combined with Big Jess for the smack home.
The second half saw both teams come out and fire warning shots of their intents, each team inching closer with every play. Strong keeping and defending was denying all efforts, 🔥until midway through the half saw Big Jess feed Little Jess, who ecstatically finished on her second attempt. All the luck seemed to have swung, and with European Soul falling short, 🔥Chelsea found herself poking home a Pinkies fifth unanswered goal. Anyone’s guess who would score next, with both teams pressing for the finishes but coming up short. 🔥When Anna’s one two was tapped in, it was evident this game was far from decided. 🔥But then Chelsea finished from the tightest of angles, and it appeared the Pinkies would reign victories. Despite fatigue with no subs, European Soul had one final surge in the final minute, twice missing by inches. What a game.
