The brilliant crew behind are decking out all areas of the Liberty Theatre for three nights of art, music & performance by some of Boorloo’s wildest and weirdest! There’s different events on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. I’ll be hitting the stage on Sunday in support of ‘s brand new album ‘Terra Nullius’ so be sure to pop down for that one.. but I highly recommend you make the weekend free and pop in every night to really soak it all in 🧽

THIS FRIDAY: I've been presented with the honour of supporting Fred Leone, one of the Butchulla Songmen, a custodian and carrier of the Butchulla language. A truly incredible voice and presence. His recent EP named GIRA, a collaborative project with the legendary Birdz, who I shared the stage with a few times many moons ago, is a powerful, powerful listen. His other two-piece project Yirinda's self-titled EP is also beyond brilliant and definitely one of the best releases of 2024. If you're not across his music, I suggest you get your ears open right now and pop down to Mojos Bar Fremantle this Friday 26!

My favourite person Giselle and an incredible crew of folks at Boorloo Artivism are running a fundraiser this Friday called ART4GAZA! 🇵🇸

It's at Mount Hawthorn Town Hall, features music from excellent local artists and DJs, there's a heap of little interactive experiences to partake in, an art auction, tea ceremonies, stuff for the kids and dancing into the night! PLUS all money raised goes directly to helping families in need and grassroots aid organisations.

Truly sad news to hear of the passing of 😔 Many projects he’s been involved with over the years were super influential for me. Our lives crossed paths more times than I can remember. From watching Combat Wombat play for the first time at an underground rave at the closed down Civic Theatre Restaurant, to running tours for him, & in the late 2000s, to his maaad production work on Ethereal Lotus Fleet, to seeing him each night upstairs spinning tunes after my Laundry Bar residency shows in about 2014. He was always this quiet, ultra skilled-machine with a wild natural swagger and the loudest post-handshake finger snap you’ve ever heard. That snap was so loud it could smash glass I rekon.

He introduced me to Jabbarish’s Drop Bombs and Collie Buddz’ Blind To You, that still get played on regular rotation for me.

In 2011 he quietly produced this little masterwork of an EP called Calm Before the Storm. I used to use it as a sleep aid and we’d thrash it on our show Downunderground on RTRfm 92.1 back in the day. I’ve linked to it in my bio, highly suggest you have a listen.
