Due to the predicted tail of Cyclone Narelle bringing heavy rain and strong wind gusts, Perth Explorer will be CLOSED on Saturday, March 28th. This decision has been made for the safety of our customers and staff. We will resume our normal operations on Sunday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Due to extensive road closures around the city and Kings Park for the Road National Championship cycling event WE ARE CLOSED Saturday and Sunday, 10th & 11th January. We will be back to normal on Monday January 12th

We will be CLOSED December 24th, 25th and 26th 2025. Our buses will be back on the road running to a full timetable on Saturday Dec 27th.

We are closed on ANZAC Day, Friday 25th April due to the numerous road closures in the city for the ANZAC Parade. We will be back on the road on Saturday April 26th

We are almost off and running! The Coastal Explorer bus starts the Scarborough to Hillarys run on Saturday January 4th. Either catch it from the city at 9.30am for a day on the coast or else just jump on board at either Scarborough or Hillarys and enjoy the ride along the coast on top of an open top double decker bus! The service starts in the Perth CBD, travels to Scarborough Beach then passes through Trigg, North Beach, Watermans Bay, Marmion and Sorrento on its way to Hillarys Boat Harbour.

The open-top double decker bus is a fun way to get the kids around these school holidays, and perfect for those who are looking for a unique way to showcase some of Perth’s premier coastal destinations to their overseas visitors.

The Coastal Explorer bus is coming back to the Sunset Coast for summer 2024/25 through a partnership between the City of Joondalup and City of Stirling, giving locals and visitors a unique way to get to some of Perth’s premier coastal destinations.
