RECENT ACTIVITY

WTKI has busy during 2023, working for a wide range of clients both in the onshore environment and also offshore, including deepwater.

In terms of Well Test Engineering, our work output has been diverse, covering tender preparation and evaluations, well test facility flow assurance studies, well test and completions designs, HAZOP workshop facilitation, well test validation (for regulatory compliance), a company well test standard for one of our clients and numerous other studies including :-

On the Subsurface side, we’ve completed projects in varied reservoir environments: carbonates, commingled sandstones and fractured igneous reservoirs, with fluids ranging from lean dry gas to heavy oil. As well as the usual Well Test and Production Log interpretation activities, we’ve had significant projects in the areas of Post-Perforation Lift Modelling (PPLM) and Commingled Reservoir Description.

WTKI - Well Flow Simulator Software

WTKI's well flow simulator models wellbore conditions from sandface to surface in both dynamic and static conditions: pressure drops, temperature gradients, velocity profile, hold-ups, fluid density and much more.

This allows quick and reliable estimates of, for example, surface pressures based on bottom hole pressures, and vice versa, as well as tubing sizing calculations and QC of flowrate measurements. For more information please contact [email protected] https://toolbox.wtki.com.au/

**NEW**
2023 will see the launch of WTKI’s updated & improved Engineering Toolkit software. This provides a cloud-based suite of tools for a range of applications, including:
*A Pipe Flow Simulation tool capable of modelling the behaviour of single and multiphase fluids in pipe systems
*The Static Well Pressure module, which calculates wellbore pressure gradients based on surface and/or bottom hole pressures, and which has applications for MASP calculations and many aspects of well intervention.
*The Well Flow Simulator tool which models pressures, temperatures, velocities, pressure gradients and fluid properties in both production and injection wells.
*A suite of additional modules that cover all aspects of well test design and many aspects of facility safety, including heat & noise prediction, flare stack modelling, choke & fluid property calculations, well depth conversions, hydrate prediction, gas dispersion and several others.

Online Well Test Design Course, 6th to 10th Feb 2023

This series of 5 x half day sessions will describe the nature and purpose of well testing, particularly its importance in relation to reservoir evaluation. The focus of the course will be on well test design but will also describe many of the practical aspects that are key to planning a successful well test. The material is presented by a highly experienced well test engineer in easy-to-understand language. The course includes case studies and simulation examples. All materials provided along with a course certificate.
