A great day out of the office last Friday for the Vantage Wealth Management team, taking part in the Zoomazing Race at Perth Zoo.

From navigating clues through the zoo to working through challenges under time pressure, it was a fun way to put our teamwork and communication skills to the test. Highly recommended to any businesses out there looking to support their teams and have a good time together.

At Vantage, we place a strong emphasis on building high-performing teams. Strong teams deliver better outcomes for our clients, and days like this help strengthen the way we work together.

A big thank you to Perth Zoo for hosting such a well-run event.

We are proud of our Vantage team who recently took part in the Walk for Women’s Cancer on 2 May 2026.

A special mention to Ruth, Rob, Ben and Jo, who completed the 14km walk in support of an incredibly important cause, raising funds for life-saving research into women’s cancers.

Events like this are a powerful reminder that meaningful change comes from collective action. Every step taken and every dollar raised contributes to improving outcomes for women in our community.

If anyone tries to suggest that today's younger generation has a sense of entitlement or looks for the easy path, we'd absolutely refute that based on what we see from our team.

Case in point: congratulations to Sylvia who just completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree. Over the past six months, she took on a 5-unit semester load - an overload beyond the standard 4 units - while working with us at Vantage and still picking up weekend shifts at a local cafe when they were short-staffed. Through it all, she showed up consistently, contributed thoughtfully, and never let the pressure show.

The dedication, resilience and work ethic we see from Sylvia and our other younger team members is genuinely inspiring. They're juggling multiple commitments, investing in their development, and doing it with humility and professionalism.

We're thrilled that Sylvia has accepted a full-time Graduate Associate position with us. Her studies are behind her... for now!... but the qualities she demonstrated throughout - commitment, capability and character - are exactly what we value at Vantage.

Well done Sylvia, and enjoy some well-earned rest over the Christmas break.

Amazing few days for some of our team at the FAAA National Conference in Perth last week. A few takeaways...

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆... we all have ambition to reduce the friction clients, advisers, administrators and institutions experience in getting advice done... how can we be applying AI to simplify and speed up the delivery and implementation of advice while still making sure humans come first.

𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲... how do we improve awareness amongst smart, passionate younger people that there is a hugely rewarding future for them in the wealth management space.

𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀... how can we get politicians and regulators to understand it is not through more regulatory policies, but rather more effective supervision by them, auditors and responsible entities to prevent 'bad players' from getting started and causing the chaos they do.

𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆... A general feeling that most progressive firms have made significant investment into tech to de-risk and enhance client outcomes... the proof will now be in the productivity pudding.

𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵... while population growth, regulatory hurdles and growing financial market complexities provide a supportive backdrop to drive demand for advice, the growth opportunities can't be captured without committed succession plans, corporatised service frameworks and a full embrace of integrated tech solutions.

So much to digest but so exciting to move forward and learn with the country's best to continue expanding our client focused advice solution.

• 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Make informed decisions that improve your financial security as retirement approaches.

𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗪𝗔

Last week, a few members of our Vantage team rolled up our sleeves to volunteer at the Foodbank WA Hunger Relief Centre.

Together we helped sort and pack:

• 75 School Fruit Packages for disadvantaged children at schools around Perth.

• 4,000kg of fresh fruit and vegetables for families in need.

These efforts will support families across WA and provide healthy fruit to schools through the School Fruit Program.

We couldn't speak more highly of the amazing Foodbank volunteers and the way they helped make it such a fun and organised experience for everyone involved.

We are proud to play a small part in supporting Foodbank’s incredible work in the community, and we look forward to being back again soon.
