2 large mermaids made. Setting myself making targets every week until the Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre Bazaar... These girls are bigger than they look. 36cm and 43cm... both tails come. A beautiful unique handmade treasure keeper. Slabs built, hand sculpted then each scale rolled and squished on!

Another busy day at Funkydory. Finished cutting, sculpting and partly painting 50 flat birds which still need to be fully painted and fired and copper legs added! 3 large wall bird girls are underglazed and one of hopefully 20 large queens completed... phew, a busy few months ahead!

I have started mass making for the Fremantle Art Centre Christmas Bazaar. It is a LOT! Not sure i am enjoying it as much as a free flowing creation! I have 20 little jingle queens drying and started 50 flat hanging birds this afternoon. Did just want to show you how the gold leaf turned out on this big queens crown. The grit in the clay makes the gold go glittery. So lovely!
Goooood Mooooorning 😁 kiln is open! If you came to the windchome workshop 3 weeks ago, well, oh my goodness, AMAZING!!! everything in my kiln is just magical. I have had a raging cold all week but feel a bit more human today. I am around between midday and 4 today, tomorrow morning and all afternoon/evening next week for those coming to pop together and pick up windchimes.. let me know. I will send you texts or emails shortly... what a beautiful day 😊
Thelma was switched on at 10.30pm last night with a full belly! She reached 1200c at 12.40pm today... and now we wait.... 🙈
If you attended the windchime workshop two weeks ago, your chimes have all made it through their first firing. I am hoping to glaze and get my kiln on tomorrow night so all being well, we can arrange a time over next weekend or a weekday evening to pop them together and take home 😊
One ticket left... I could possibly squeeze in an extra if there are 2 people wanting to come together.... 😊

Come and create a Windchime Create a clay animal/bird / person windchime. Pinch pot technique for the head, roll up a slab for the body and coils for legs
