After a morning glazing, I spent this afternoon making 2 more windchimes as the girl I made a few weeks back really reminded me of me, so why not make more?! 😂 Many moons ago in my late teens and heading to art college, I had a hat 😂 a woolly hat from Peru with big ear flaps. I LOVED it... thought i was very cool wearing it. On my feet, my dm's that I painted with daisies... those were the days!!!

First lot of windchimes are now in for their glaze firing. Spent this morning poking holes, stacking and wiping glazey bottoms!!!

So tonight I was WAAAAAAAY out of my comfort zone but I put on my big girl knickers and headed up, on my own, to Kalamunda for the Zig Zag Gallery 2026 Art Awards. No prize for me but just so happy to at last see my piece Reverie being exhibited. On until the end of June there are some very lovely pieces on display....

Windchime workshop update!

One load has been successfully bisque fired, second lot are being fired tomorrow... then I glaze everything and fire it all again. 🥰

My last 2 days have been so good. Getting creative with lots of year 1 and 2 students at a local school. Such great fun!

I started this piece a few weeks back then covered it and forgot about her... fast forward to Thursday and I got her out, was re inspired! Rolled lots of clay feathers, tidied her up and now have a large bird girl! Depending on how she fires i may go even bigger next!
