Hi everyone, one non bread related post to share what we have been up to in the last few months.
Lena and I have been busy fixing up a 100 year old cottage down in Greenbushes. It’s kept us busy, but it has been really fun doing it, and we’re proud of the result.
If you’re planning on heading down south to the Greenbushes/Bridgetown/Balingup area, you can find it on airbnb, named ‘Tin & Timber’.

We just got a bunch of photos taken by the talented which we are pumped about and will be posting in the coming days on the Tin & Timber page.
We’ve both put an effort in but especially Lena, who planned and styled it out to a great level of detail, and just did the most amazing job the whole way through. She even managed to incorporate a few items from Germany that were passed down last year.
We’re looking forward to making great new memories in the place and hope to share it with you all too.

Who knew how easy the transition would be… Our bakery is transforming to my pottery studio!
The oven will swap with a kiln, bread trolley becomes drying trolley, flour trap is now a clay trap and so much more I can repurpose.

Something we have been wrestling with for a while, is the decision to close the bakery. We had put it on hold while we were in Germany, but now that we have returned we feel it's a good time to say goodbye.
We got to bake amazing breads, share that with our customers and learnt a great deal along the way.
Thank you to everyone for your support over the years. We felt privileged with every bake and are grateful we had this opportunity.
We will be spending our new found time on family, health and new found pursuits.
We have a bit of equipment for sale, including a mixer, 3 phase deck oven, tins and fridges. If you know of any aspiring bakers needing gear, send them our way.

Limited bake now open.
We will be heading to Germany soon for a few months to spend time with Lena’s family, as there are some health issues with her Dad.
For this reason the bakery will be closed for a while.
We are doing a limited bake for this Sunday of Khorasan and Fruit n Nut.
We thank you for your support and understanding and hope to be back baking soon.

Slicing up time has begun. All loaves have been delivered, please check your front porches and get in touch if you can’t find it.
A few pick ups are still in the bakery and will be there tomorrow for you to come as well.

Update on todays’s bake. The first loaves have come out of the oven looking delicious and have been wrapped.
We will start delivery soon but expect it to be a longer process as there is still lots to be baked.
We will be posting once more when everything has been delivered so you know to check your front doors.

On the weekend we baked some German biscuits and belief it or not but they are nearly all gone 😳
Our last bread bake will be this weekend and we’re trying something new. Clayton will attempt a day bake and delivery will be Saturday evening not Sunday morning.
Website is online until Friday morning and be assured we will be in touch with pick up times if you’re picking up from the bakery.

We are baking this Sunday!!!
Still waiting for the Emmer flour but with the majority ready to go we decided to bake this Sunday. Our website is open for pre-orders until Friday midnight.
Our next and last bake for this year which should include the Emmer loaf will be Sunday, 19th.

This was us two weeks ago. Recharging before the next assumed bake. But with flour delivery problems we’re still on stand by. Waiting for half of our flour order and are unsure if we can bake this Sunday or have to wait another week.. We will let you all know as soon as we can.
