Lần đầu tiên cờ Việt Nam tỏa sáng trên Tòa thị chính Perth, mừng Ngày Quốc khánh.

Tối 2/9 - một khoảnh khắc chưa từng có đã đi vào lịch sử cộng đồng người Việt Nam tại bang Tây Australia (Australia), đó là lần đầu tiên, hình ảnh Quốc kỳ Việt Nam được chiếu sáng rực rỡ trên hai mặt Tòa thị chính Perth– công trình biểu tượng ngay trung tâm thành phố Perth, bang Tây Australia.

VASEA chi hội Tây Úc được vinh hạnh tham dự buổi chào mừng Lễ Quốc Khánh tại khách sạn Duxton Perth do Lãnh Sự Quán Tây Úc và Bắc Úc tổ chức đúng vào ngày 2/9/2026 vừa qua.

Tham quan trung tâm CoderDojo tại Đại học Curtin

Sáng thứ Bảy 29/8/2026, các thành viên Ủy ban VASEA WA và các cộng tác viên, đã có cơ hội tham quan CoderDojo tại Đại học Curtin, một không gian đầy cảm hứng nơi các bạn trẻ khám phá lập trình, công nghệ, robot và sự sáng tạo kỹ thuật số.

Chúng tôi rất ấn tượng với môi trường hòa nhập và hỗ trợ, đặc biệt là cách chương trình nhận ra và phát triển thế mạnh của các bạn trẻ, bao gồm cả những người tham gia có sự khác biệt về thần kinh.

Thật tuyệt vời khi được tìm hiểu cách sinh viên và người hướng dẫn của Curtin hỗ trợ các em tham gia xây dựng sự tự tin, khả năng sáng tạo và các kỹ năng thực tiễn cho tương lai của mình.

Một chuyến thăm ý nghĩa, làm nổi bật sức mạnh của giáo dục, công nghệ, sự hòa nhập và sự hợp tác cộng đồng. 🌱

Saturday 29/08/2026, VASEA WA Committee members & collaborators had the opportunity to tour CoderDojo@Curtin University, an inspiring space where young people explore coding, technology, robotics and digital creativity.

We were impressed by the inclusive and supportive environment, particularly the way the program recognises and develops the strengths of young people, including neurodiverse participants.

It was wonderful to learn how Curtin students and mentors support participants to build confidence, creativity and practical skills for their future.

A meaningful visit that highlights the power of education, technology, inclusion and community collaboration. 🌱💻

VASEA proudly organised this meaningful community workshop together with THT Vitality Pty Ltd, bringing families, professionals and community leaders together around a shared purpose: to build greater understanding, support and hope for children and individuals with ADHD and neurodivergence.

Đây là hội thảo khoa học quốc tế được xây dựng nhằm kết nối các nhà nghiên cứu, trường đại học, doanh nghiệp, cơ quan quản lý, sinh viên và cộng đồng chuyên gia từ Australia, Việt Nam cùng nhiều quốc gia khác.

The Vietnam–Australia Scholars & Experts Association – Western Australia Chapter (VASEA-WA) invites abstract submissions for AVAS 2026, bringing together researchers, academics, industry, government and students from Australia and Vietnam.

Authors are kindly invited to submit an abstract of up to 300 words to share their work at this symposium under one of the following themes:
KEY THEMES
🌱 Theme 1: Agronomy, Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Resilience
Focus: Crop improvement, sustainable farming systems, precision agriculture, climate resilience, plant protection, agricultural microbiomes, AI and digital agriculture.
🧬 Theme 2: Plant Biotechnology, Genomics and Synthetic Biology
Focus: Genome editing, plant biotechnology, synthetic biology, functional genomics, gene regulation, bioinformatics, multi-omics and advanced breeding technologies.
🥗 Theme 3: Food Science, Nutrition and Emerging Technologies
Focus: Food quality and safety, nutrition, food processing, food supply chains, sustainable food systems and emerging technologies for food production.
🤝 Theme 4: Research Translation, Agribusiness and Agricultural Policy
Focus: Research translation, technology transfer, commercialisation, agribusiness, industry partnerships, agricultural policy and Australia–Vietnam collaboration.

Early-career researchers and HDR students are particularly encouraged to participate.

Accepted abstracts may be presented in person (preferred) or online.

Every great conversation starts with the right setting.

We're delighted to host the AUSTRALIA–VIETNAM SYMPOSIUM ON AGRICULTURAL INNOVATION & FOOD SECURITY 2026 (AVAS2026) at Boola Katitjin, Murdoch University's award-winning learning and collaboration hub in Perth.

Opened in 2023, Boola Katitjin means "lots of learning" in the Whadjuk Noongar language. Designed by Lyons, in collaboration with Silver Thomas Hanley, Officer Woods Architecture, The Fulcrum Agency and Aspect Studios, the building was created to bring people together through learning, collaboration and innovation.

In the same year it opened, Boola Katitjin received international recognition as the World Architecture Festival's Higher Education and Research Building of the Year, recognising its outstanding design and commitment to sustainability and collaboration.

It's a fitting venue for AVAS2026, where researchers, industry, government, students and the broader community will come together to exchange ideas and build new partnerships.
