About Jordan Anthony

Jordan Anthony is a singer/songwriter whose talent for the arts was discovered at a very early age. Jordan first began singing at the age of 4. Jordan put his talent to use by performing in talent shows, school performances, taking piano and guitar lessons, teaching himself how to navigate production software and writing songs in his spare time. But Jordan had a deeper desire to master what he does best...singing.

Jordan studied classical music in a specialist music program in preparation for his entrance into the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). In 2015 Jordan graduated with the ‘Lisa Harper Brown’ music award and 6 year music service badge which acknowledges a student’s commitment, talent and contribution to the arts. He received the top mark in his performance exam, across the state. It was then he applied to study the ‘Composition of Music Technology’ and ‘Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Vocals)’ courses at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). He was offered a position in both courses and decided to study the voice in which he is currently in his third year of study.

Jordan’s musical influences range from to Jill Scott to Stevie Wonder giving a smooth, rich tone. His sassy, heartfelt musical ideas and delivery derive from a strong RnB/Soul/Funk background which also influences him to write music classified under those genres. He wishes to use his gift to inspire others to use their voice and hopes to send a message through his work. Jordan's ambition is to be the brainchild of a program that will help children that are less fortunate by giving them an education in music, providing them with the gift of voice.
