WORLD BEE DAY 2026 |

World Bee Day is a global reminder of the vital role bees and other pollinators play in our food systems, biodiversity, and ecosystems.

The 2026 theme, “Bee engaged in pollinator-friendly agricultural production,” calls for action to protect pollinators through sustainable, evidence-based farming practices 🌱

At FVC, we’re proud to support bee friendly practices by promoting sustainable agriculture, protecting habitats, and encouraging approaches that help pollinators thrive 🐝💛

PILBARA BIOLOGICAL SURVEY |

A team of our Botanists and Zoologists recently returned from a successful trip up to the Pilbara region, known for its rugged ranges and gorges. The team was fortunate to have pleasant weather conditions in contrast to normal Pilbara extremes allowing the team to complete all planned work while appreciating the region’s diversity.

The Botany team conducted a detailed flora and vegetation survey, recording the plant species that occur in the survey area that were encountered and keeping a keen eye out for the priority species of the area. The fauna team were focused on collecting trail cameras deployed in the previous trip and conducting other surveys looking for significant species, such as the Western Pebble-mound Mouse Pilbara Olive Python, the Pilbara Leaf-nosed Bat, Ghost Bat and Bilby.

As the survey area had seen little previous survey effort, access was achieved entirely by helicopter, offering a spectacular bird’s eye view of the landscape. Extensive ground surveys were then undertaken on foot, navigating through arid spinifex grasslands, traversing through mulga to cover all grounds. Overall, it was a great trip with a robust survey effort in one of Australia's very unique landscapes.

CELEBRATING 11 YEARS OF FVC |

Today we’re proud to celebrate 11 years of FVC!
What started as a vision has grown into a thriving community built on passion, dedication, and the support of so many amazing people.

Over the past decade, we’ve achieved milestones, overcome challenges, and created something truly special together. None of this would have been possible without our team, partners, extended family, clients, and the loyal support of everyone who has been part of the journey.

As we celebrate this milestone, we also look ahead with excitement, ready to keep growing, innovating, and making an impact for many more years to come. Never forgetting, that we are here to better our world.
Thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to the next chapter! 🥂

10 STORIES FOR 10 YEARS - STORY 10 |

We are FVC, and we are here to better our world.

It’s not just our purpose, it’s our commitment. It’s the guiding principle behind everything we do. It shapes the work we choose, the way we operate, and the projects we’re proud to be part of.

As environmental consultants, we’re driven to help deliver development projects in the most sustainable way possible. It’s about enhancements for our communities alongside environmental gain. And with momentum shifting toward net positive outcomes, we’re right on board.

And then there are the projects that light us up most: — where the outcomes go beyond compliance, and contribute meaningfully to biodiversity protection and enhancement, community education and connection, and promoting a positive environmental legacy.

Our Projects for Good have included multiple Biodiversity Strategies for local governments, management plans striving for net positive, and a long list of ecosystem restoration plans. The standout: the Giants of Mandurah — bringing together art, adventure, storytelling, and environmental appreciation, to help people connect with nature in a magical, meaningful way.

As we better our world through our projects, we aim to also better the world of our clients, through helping them fulfill project objectives, and doing so in a harmonious and collaborative way.

And most importantly, we’re committed to bettering the world of our people, through a rewarding workplace built on recognition, engagement, and fun. This is our focus on our most highly regarded core value: ‘Team’.

To better our world, we have it covered from all angles, to:

• protect and enhance our environment
• contribute to developments that enhance our communities
• help our clients succeed and make their journeys smoother
• provide a workplace that brings prosperity and joy

At FVC we believe that science and strategy should go hand-in-hand with heart and purpose. Because we are FVC, and we are here to better our world.

10 STORIES FOR 10 YEARS STORY 9 |

Team – Working in harmonious collaboration with our colleagues and clients.

If there's one value that truly defines FVC, it's ‘Team’.

Team is the third of our three core values at FVC, but it’s the one that we all hold in the highest regard. There isn’t one single element, feature or aspect of our business that is more important than our team.

From our beginnings as a husband-and-wife duo to a strong and skilled crew of 18, ‘Team’ has always been more than a word, it’s a way of working, supporting, and showing up for each other.

We don’t just collaborate, we share knowledge, check-in, lift each other up and celebrate the wins.

We’ve built a culture where asking for help is encouraged, laughing together comes naturally, and where no one is left behind, whether in the bush, behind a report, or navigating a tight project deadline.

It’s this sense of team that’s helped us grow sustainably, maintain high standards, and have fun along the way. We all know that any FVCian will rally around to help, no matter who they are, or what their skill set or role is. Our team is what enables us to take on projects that matter, all while enjoying the ride together.

Looking after your team isn’t just good business, it’s what truly matters when people are at the heart of what you do.
