Before hopping the Nullarbor and abandoning Boorloo for the eastern front, Gweedus & the Vertiboys had a long lineage of collaboration across a series of particularly productive parties with Max’s event series . Since moving to Naarm, Max has continued this run of rambunctious parties, hosting some of the city’s hottest artists.

Nourished by the same rich soils of minimal tech and facilitating dance, you could say Max and Vertigo go together like kick and snare, making his entry in our mix series long overdue. Serving up an audible feast; scorching hot and spinning off the plate, we hope you enjoy his delicious selection of tunes as much as we do in this hour of waxy goodness.

Introducing our final act for the night — Noizar ( )

A long-time resident at Closer, one of Kyiv’s most renowned late night institutions, Noizar has recently relocated to Amsterdam where he continues to run his label Wicked Bass.

Founded in 2010, Wicked Bass is a vinyl-only label built around dark, floor-focused minimal cuts. It has platformed Ukrainian talent like Borys alongside international heavy hitters like Shonky, with a forthcoming release from Roman Khropko that looks set to match the high standard of everything that’s come before.

Like his label, Noizar is vinyl-focused. He brings a unique selection of dark techno, minimal deep cuts and dub plates that defy conventional genres and feel perfectly at home in a warehouse witching hour set.

A talent we’ve been dying to book for years, and we’re finally making it happen tomorrow night.

Introducing our next DJ — the legendary XDB ( )

XDB is Kosta Athanassiadis, German-born with Greek heritage. Kosta began his DJing journey in the early 90s, running a radio show for five years and establishing his Metrolux record label in 2006.

His production first started hitting people’s radar with his debut EP Jackintosh, a release that set the tone for the shimmering, high-quality dub techno that would go on to speak to crowds worldwide, with every follow-up continuing that same standard.

Kosta has become a regular at many of the festivals we hold in high regard, including .pt , , and , where he played a very special closing set to finish out the festival. Most of these sets are available online and we’d highly recommend seeking them out.

It’s been quite some time since Kosta made it over to Australia, his last visit being 2013 when he played the debut edition of the legendary Victorian festival Inner Varnika. This will also be his Boorloo debut, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him for our very special early morning slot.

We know this is going to be a truly special set, and we can’t wait to experience it with you all. Last few tickets are available online now.

Introducing the first of our DJs for the night — Circuit Central (.beurre & )

A combo many of you will be familiar with, having thrown some of Boorloo’s best parties over the last three years, booking long-time favourite DJs, introducing us to so many more we’ve come to love, and creating the kind of space where long-form late night parties can thrive. Without them, our own events wouldn’t be half as ambitious. Their work has been a constant inspiration, always pushing us to go further with our own parties.

As solo acts, Brie & Jaz both bring the heat with excellent deep cut vinyl selections; tunes that perform best on a big system, whether in the bush, beach or warehouse. Together, they lock into a dark, playful European minimal sound that and we’d been craving for quite some time and we’re sure you’ll all enjoy.

Vertigo presents: Up! Late! with Noizar (UA) & XDB (DE).

To celebrate our 3rd birthday in style we’ve brought over a double header of European heavyweights for a Good Friday warehouse party for the ages. Come join us at our new favourite party spot for a night of fun, freedom and great music.

Noizar is a Ukrainian DJ and longtime resident of Kyiv’s iconic Closer club, now based in Amsterdam. Known for his sharp, groove-driven style and precise vinyl-focused approach, he is also the founder of the Wicked Bass label, which showcases both Ukrainian and international artists. Through standout solo sets and memorable b2b performances with Borys—often closing nights at Closer—Noizar helped shape the distinctive atmosphere that made the club globally respected. His detailed selections and technical mixing have taken him to dancefloors around the world, from Tokyo and Seoul to Berlin, Paris and Tbilisi, where his sound moves fluidly beyond conventional house and techno, blending broken rhythms with rich, layered melodies.

Kosta Athanassiadis, aka , is a German-born DJ and producer of Greek heritage who has been active in the underground electronic music scene since the early 1990s. Originally from Göttingen, he began DJing while working in a record shop and later founded the Metrolux label in 2006, gaining wider recognition through releases like the Jackintosh EP. Known for his deep, genre-blurring productions and carefully curated vinyl DJ sets, XDB has performed across more than 35 countries and at respected festivals such as Labyrinth and Freerotation. With releases on labels including Sistrum, Ferox and Dial Records—where his debut album Inspiron landed in 2020—he has built a reputation for understated quality, musical depth and impeccable selection.

Along with these two European kings we have our favourite Boorloo purveyors of parties .central_ (.beurre & ) joining the lineup to get our party started the right way. We couldn’t think of anyone better to set the mood for a marathon of vinyl goodness.

Vertigo is proud to announce Necessity, our debut physical release from Perth/Boorloo electronic duo Ezines, available March 20th. 

Necessity is a sleazy, pressure-driven club record, built on a balance of short, immediate ideas and long-term structural development. Across four original tracks and a remix — Dissolve, Necessity, Pacer, Ekspres, and Necessity (Liquid Earth Heaven ’N’ Hell Dub) — Ezines balance instant impact with slow-burn momentum, allowing tracks to hit fast before stretching into longer, more patient forms. The EP thrives on tension, repetition, and release, shaped equally by instinct, live performance, and hands-on studio refinement.

Introducing our headliner for tomorrow:

Liquid Earth produces a uniquely trans-atlantic sound blending the rhythmic depth of London and Berlin with the sun soaked sleaze of his Californian roots. Pulling from ‘90s deepness and ‘00s groove his production feels like it sits outside time taking elements of the past to soundtrack the clubs (and warehouses) of the future.

A DJ that foregoes self seriousness for an infectious positive energy that carries through his music into the dancefloor. We’re very excited to have Mr Liquid taking over the booth for three hours of early morning goodness.

Introducing our supporting acts for the night:

First up we have Gibbo ( ). Frequently seen with camera in hand across Boorloo’s best parties, Gibbo is trading in the camcorder for wax and helping us warm up the warehouse with some slippery tech housey goodness.

Next up we have , a live electronic duo born here in Boorloo, now operating across two continents. Theo & Owen have quickly put together an amazing body of work across two EPs (and one soon to be released via Vertigo). Known for their blend of classic acid house with their psych rock roots expect a hardware heavy, warehouse ready show on Friday as the boys take us through the darker end of their productions.

Finally we have & , when first planning this warehouse & who we wanted for a magical closing set these two were the first that came to mind. A duo that feels so perfect that we were amazed this is their first time going back to back. We’re not sure what to expect from them but we know it’ll be groovy & we’ll be there dancing.
