Got rid of the ugly rear seat and bought a Chamois coloured rear seat to match the rest of the interior

So over the last few months the poor Stato has been neglected sitting under a tarp.
I've been concentrating on finding all the interior so I can put together an original looking chamois interior with black trims. I wanted to add a couple of new style mods to the interior so the hardest part was finding a centre console I could modify without it costing me a fortune to buy.
Now I have everything old school Statesman

I haven't posted much about the STATQ recently as to be honest I haven't done anything to it. The car has been sat under a car cover the last few months while I have been trying to source decent work.
Now I am on a 2:2 roster I have more time at home to work on it.
This R&R going to upgrade to electronic ignition and clean the car seats up so I can wrap them in plastic. Put new wheel nuts on the car so now it can be moved around easy enough.
Next R&R i'll get back to sanding it back again.

Decided to buy a few more T Shirts to show my love for the HQ Stato lol.
Got them from eBay and the quality is excellent.

So the most common issue with 50 year old cars like us, they don't like to start or do anything till they warm up in the morning.
To combat this issue we have installed a manual choke cable to keep the revs up. We have also installed twin thermo fans on a manual switch setup. Two switches now allow me to start the car with no fans running. As the car starts to warm up I can switch one fan one to regulate the engines temp. Then when it gets to normal running temp I switch the second thermo fan on.
Thanks to Peter who installed this set up on the car for me.

Gilmers are finally on the Stato.
Video doesn't do it justice, it sounds awesome.
Now I need a few new wheel nuts and the stato will be fully licensed and drivable.
A lot of work has gone into this car to get it into a good drivable state. Still looks like crap but happy it drives.

Ok so today I went to pay for some of the interior parts I posted about earlier.
I not only got all the interior parts I'd listed including seat belts, grab handles etc but I inspected the Statesman shell and where my Statesman needs panel repairs this shell has perfect panels this will make doing cuts and panel weld ins a lot easier so I have arranged to buy it as well.
