The Entech Geology team recently spent some time on site supporting the final stages and sign-off of a Mineral Resource Estimate, alongside our annual resource reviews.

There’s always something satisfying about seeing the studies, designs and technical work move off the page and into the ground.

The Entech Geotechnical team has been involved in the underground studies at Mt Marion and has continued supporting the project through to construction.

With underground development now back underway, it’s a great milestone for the Mineral Resources and Macmahon teams.

Nice to have played a part in getting it there 😊

We’re looking for an experienced Mining Consultant - Open Pit to join our West Perth team. Depending on experience, we will consider appointments at Senior or Principal level.

The variety is a big part of the role. Different clients, commodities, project types and problems to solve. You could be working on mine planning and optimisation, contributing to a feasibility study, reviewing costs and operating assumptions, or getting into the detail of an operational challenge.

And you won’t be doing it in a silo. You’ll work alongside our mining engineers, geologists and geotechnical engineers, as well as client teams across Australia and internationally.

Just a few samples to get through.

We were out on site with a client recently, getting a proper look at what’s happening on the ground.

Site visits are a big part of how we work at Entech. Get out there, talk to the people closest to the project, see the geology for yourself and understand what’s actually happening beyond the models and spreadsheets.

Occasionally, we also get to admire an aesthetically pleasing collection of sample bags. All part of the job ☺️

RocketDNA ’s control room looks like something straight out of a movie. Except everything on the screens is very real.

The Entech team recently headed to RocketDNA's Perth HQ in Osborne Park, where Chris Clark and Evan McKern took us through their latest drone hardware, in-house software and Remote Operations Centre. Safe to say, we were impressed.

RocketDNA is taking a lot of the manual legwork out of drone surveying. Their autonomous drone-in-a-box systems can handle repeat survey and data capture missions remotely, getting current aerial data back to mine teams faster while freeing up surveyors for the work that actually needs them.

Less time organising flights and more frequent data means better information for the people making decisions.

Then there’s the control room. Photos probably don’t do it justice.

These guys are the real deal, and we reckon there would be very few mine sites that couldn’t find a use for what they’re doing.

If you’re a mine developer or operator and haven’t seen the setup in action, go and visit them.

It’s worth the field trip ☺️

Daffodil Day is celebrating 40 years of raising funds for life-saving cancer research and patient care, and Tamzen is doing her bit to support the cause.

A lot of what we do at Entech comes down to working closely with client teams, getting on site and understanding what’s happening on the ground. Not just what the spreadsheet says should be happening.

A few highlights from the Entech camera roll during Diggers & Dealers this year.

The FJ hit the road to Kalgoorlie and had its moment parked out the front of the Goldfields Arts Centre. Credit where it’s due, the new building housing Diggers was a very welcome upgrade 🙌

We also had a look around the WASM Wombats training facility, where traditional mining skills are still very much alive and kicking.

The team competes in the International Collegiate Mining Competition, which has been running since 1978 and honours those who have lost their lives in mining.

Events include Air Legging, Mucking, Hand Steeling, Swede Saw, Survey, Gold Pan and Track Stand. A pretty impressive bit of mining history that’s still going strong.
