Lens Travellers recently held their third Lancelin Retreat, and what a great weekend it was! A day exploring Gingin's characteristic town ~ the pub, the old railway station are worth the trip alone. Yanchep National Park, so close to Perth, delivered in many ways, an indigenous experience gave a wonderful educational window in to Noongar culture, birds flitted in front of our lenses, The Yanchep Inn and Chocolate Drops Cafe served yummy stuff, and a stroll around the lake filled the day. The best part though, sitting around the fire at night, chatting, connecting and talking photography. Next year we're looking at a tucked away destination down south - a longer Lens Travellers retreat. 📸☺️

The Lens Traveller's retreat is on again! ❤️ We've just had two spots open up for our upcoming four-day weekend, running 4-7th August, '23. We've added some wonderful new gems to get your creative juices flowing and your camera a'clickin, and it's all happening in stunning accommodation overlooking the Indian Ocean. Above all, our weekend retreats are about connecting with one another through a shared passion of photography, supporting each other while learning, with plenty of laughter along the way. If you would like to read over the itinerary, please get in touch with a message, and we'll have it sailing into your inbox in no time! It's shaping up to be a very special retreat. 🔥

We returned from a wonderful four day adventure to Lancelin and its surrounds last week. We had the most gorgeous group of enthusiastic ladies and we visited the famous Lancelin dunes, braved the wind at the Pinnacles, had a wonderful experience meeting the last of the remaining Benedictine monks in New Norcia and met and photographed some of the locals around town. All in all, it was a most fabulous trip! These are just a few of the 'behind the scenes' shots of our Lens Travellers in action.

BACK by popular demand! Our inaugural Lancelin Trip is being re-released ~ with a New Norcia, visit the monastery, spend time with the monks twist ~ this coming November. We enjoyed the first one so much we've added some extras. We are taking expressions of interest for the following dates: 23-26th November. We are staying in the same luxurious property overlooking the Indian Ocean. Spaces are limited, so please message us to chat about our upcoming ladies retreat if you're interested in joining us for four-days of fotography-fun! 📸😁

Last week, we were finally able to run our Busselton weekend retreat after much chopping and changing due to the lockdown in Feb. How lucky are we, to be living in WA, where we can share, learn and grow with like minded creatives while surrounded by stunning coastal landscape 🧡 More than f-stops and shutter speeds ~~~ laughter ~ connections ~ friendships - the main ingredients - are what really make the good times roll. 🥰 These are a few behind the scenes snaps from some of our many adventures...👐📸

A few behind the scenes shots from our creative circus workshop last weekend! We did say it's a one off, but we've had such lovely, positive feedback - there may well be another with these fine, talented performers. With the lovely Rachel Collier Photography! 💖🤸‍♀️

chances are, the people going about their creative passions often inspire you and others without even knowing it.

late last year I booked myself into a photo walk through with & and so began conversations and a little push to explore outside of the normal comfort zones - a list of small challenges on the day to ‘see things differently’.

off I went with my little piece of challenges, on paper - that by having in my hand made me feel a tinsey bit more confident.

forever being inspired by nature, people and conversation I lurked by in run by Amy, who kindly let me fill up my flowery cup in more ways than one - how good is this space! look close “honey growler” the new name of my future cat!

only one thing was ticked off that challenge list that afternoon but replaced with so much more - and that was a-ok.

this year I am seeking out:
real face-to-face connections and networking.
making sure I tell those just how much what they do matters.

who’s inspiring you? tell them.

*if you’ve read this far you’re a gem.

check out Raquel Instagram - her work is stunning 💖
