Lin Reading Slinky Lizard Designs
Hi, welcome to my page, I mostly work with polymer clay but also dabble with other arts and crafts.

I call this one Dream Weaver.
Texture is something I'm always drawn to and so much fun to work with.
The process of adding layer upon layer of subtle colour builds depth and careful shading then enhances the shadows.
I love the movement in this piece but it also feels calm.
Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
50 x 50cm.
Here I'm just adding a bit of glazing to add some depth and soften the edges of some of the shapes. I'm gonna call that finished now!
I hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into my mixed media collage 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light '
If you have any questions about my process, I would love to hear from you 🙂
Here I'm using wet strength tissue paper for the final collage pieces. It's amazing stuff, it can be fully immersed in water and still doesn't fall to pieces like regular tissue, making it ideal for collage.
All the pieces get well stuck down with liquitex acrylic medium, with a couple more coats on top to make sure everything is well sealed in.
I'm not keen on the look of gloss or matte medium, so I mix the two 50/50 to get a kind of satin finish.
Can you guess what the beige square is made of that I place near the centre? Anyone who knows me might, I love my cups of tea and yes it's a tea bag! Well half of one 😀 the two pink pieces from yesterday's video are also parts of a tea bag, dyed with acrylic ink.
I love to recycle and reuse as much as possible, so finding a use for my old tea bags is awesome. You can buy teabag paper from art supply shops and it's quite pricey, so using my leftovers is a double bonus.
This is part 1 of a 4 part series of short videos showing you how I add collage elements and glazing to finish this painting.
I love this part of the process, it's slow and mindful, almost like a meditation and I get completely lost in the moment.
I will post part 2 tomorrow and talk about the materials I am using.

I finished it! This one has been 80% finished for months, but I just didn't know what it needed, I was totally stuck.
So I decided to put it to one side and carry on with other things until I could figure it out.
In the end I finished it in one day, I suddenly just knew what it needed, had an awesome painting session and it's done!
I'm calling it 'The Old Mill'
75 x 75cm acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
Hope you like😁

7 little doodles with my new acrylic inks. I have wanted to get some inks for a long time and finally got some for Xmas, today I sat and had a first play with them and I gotta say I'm loving them! So many possibilities ❤❤❤

Rainbow Sherbet.
I've decided these 4 need to stay together as a set and I'm calling them Rainbow Sherbet because they remind me of the Sherbet I used to buy in the sweet shop with my pocket money😁
