However, he and the general public fail to realise that just branding "Taxi" must NOT reflect the whole Taxi Industry.

Transport Industry;

The "Road"" passenger Transport industry is made up of 4 main sectors namely;

● Limousine & Charter,
● Taxi
● Rideshare / RideHail /RidePooling
● Public Transport & Shuttle.

There are numerous companies providing their services in each sector. The pricing is competitive within each sector and should NEVER be compared with another sector as it will not be comparing "Apples with Apples".

Note;

The TAXI industry has regulated fares under "Rank & Hail" and subject to quotes for Advanced bookings. The regulated fares schedule is designed by the Transport Department set at MAXIMUM allowed fares and open to competition within the Taxi Industry sector by numerous Taxi companies.

The Rideshare industry can only thrive on where the App provider and Driver maximise their returns. They start with MINIMUM fares schedule (enticing the public) and then subject to DYNAMIC Pricing with " NO CEILING " and its upto to the App user to confirm the ride.

Hence its wrong to group all Taxi companies with just "TAXI" and its also wrong to group All Rideshare companies with just one Rideshare company name.

Check out other small independent Taxi Services as the Taxi industry is now deregulated and moved away from the Monopoly or Duopoly strong hold.

Many independent Taxi companies offer tremendous value with quality services with Dignity & Respect.

We have personally experienced this many times where attending to a Door Bell within a minute has resulted in a Card being left behind instructing to collect from the or nearest Stations.

Today while providing our Taxi Services for Mr Phill with his wonderful Wanda has brought to our attention of the same experience Mr Phill had to endure on the Delivery person speedily rushing away after placing a Card instructing to go to the to collect his parcel.

Being his time and effort just to attend to that exercise of collecting his parcel has deeply moved us.

We are reaching out to anyone reading our plight to bring to your senior management attention of onboarding these Delivery services inline to their ethical performances for the betterment of the community.
