🎉 Big News! 🎉

I’m super excited to share that earlier this year, I became Australia’s 🇦🇺 first Quad X Method - Equine Strength and Conditioning Coach. After a ton of hard work and study, I finally earned my certification through the Animal Rehabilitation and Health Academy! 🏆

I couldn’t have done it without the amazing support from everyone along the way, especially my awesome clients who let me test out my new skills during our sessions and gave me the feedback I needed to improve.🐴

Now, I’m stoked to offer Quad X Method - Equine Strength and Conditioning sessions as a service. Whether you’re into pleasure riding, racing, showing, polo, pony club or any Olympic discipline, a plan will be designed for the individual horses needs after a full assessment. Having a horse that is conditioned correctly for their sport will reduce the likelihood of musculoskeletal injuries.

To learn more about Quad X Method - Equine Strength & Conditioning sessions or to book in, please shoot me a DM. 😎

Here’s to keeping the growth and learning going! ✨📚

Big thanks to everyone for all the love and support. 🙌 🦄🥂

How can we improve our horses balance, stability and strength? One way to help is by introducing thoracic rocking on foam pads.

Gently rocking the horse on foam balance pads helps with:

▪️Muscle contraction around the joints
▪️Engages the deep stabiliser muscles
▪️Acts as neuromuscular training
▪️Improves stability
▪️Improves proprioception
▪️Improves horse’s confidence
▪️Is heaps of fun 🤩

Sharing some highlights from May - here are a few snippets of horses commencing their strength & conditioning program 💪🏼

Sharing just how good the results can be after strength and conditioning exercises.

The transformation in just 3 weeks is a credit to for all her dedication in following the exercises prescribed to address weaknesses and postural issues for her beautiful horse Bundy 😍

Foam balance pads were introduced to increase proprioception. Once the horse is comfortable standing on the pads we began gently rocking the withers side ways when standing on the front pads, followed by gently rocking the pelvis sideways when standing on the pads with the hind feet.

The rocking acts as the foundation to gradually build up to more challenging strength and stability exercises when he’s ready 💪🏼

What does the rocking do?
▪️Creates muscle contraction around the joints
▪️Engages the deep stabiliser muscles
▪️Acts as neuromuscular training
▪️Improves stability

Today NG Equine Services turns 10!!!🍾🎂

After a decade as an Equine Bodyworker I’m excited to share that I’ve been busy working my way through a Diploma of Equine Exercise Rehabilitation via correspondence through the Animal Rehabilitation & Health Academy in England. Learning from the best in the biz, Katie Lawrence, who has been a Veterinary Physiotherapist for 20 years - how lucky am I!🍀

I’ve already started to integrate my learnings into my work and look forward to taking all equine body work sessions to the next level 💥

Thanks to everyone who has supported and trusted me with their horses over the last decade 🙏💕

🌸 Nothing beats that rewarding feeling helping horses make a comeback after setbacks. It’s not just the Body Work sessions alone that assist with the horse returning to full work, but the dedication of owners who are willing to follow strengthening and conditioning programs, plus lots of patience. In addition, a team approach of professionals, farriers, vets and coaches etc. to help maximise a positive outcome. We are so grateful to be working with & Levi and can’t wait to see them back in the competition ring soon.
