Teaching can be non-stop - from morning classes to after-school prep. But here’s a secret: short, intentional breaks can do wonders for your focus, mood, and energy.

💡 A micro-break (just 1-5 minutes!) can help your brain recharge, reduce stress, and boost creativity.
Regardless of whether you’re a teacher or in another profession, it’s so important to remember to pause and recharge - even for a minute!

A recent University of Wollongong study shows that excessive screen time can affect children’s attention, social skills, and cognitive development.

Nearly 9 out of 10 parents check their phones in front of their kids daily - this can unintentionally impact development. Mindful technology use is essential to support children’s growth.
Why this matters for educators and parents:

• Attention and Focus: Too much screen time makes it harder for children to concentrate in class and at home.
• Social Skills: Increased screen use can reduce emotional intelligence and interaction skills.
• Cognitive Development: Conscious tech habits support learning and problem-solving.

Reflection for teachers and parents:
Encourage face-to-face interaction, balanced screen time, and guided tech use. Simple steps at school and home can help children thrive socially, emotionally, and cognitively.
