AxisTech was pleased to be part of the 2026 Australian Precision Ag Symposium at the University of Sydney earlier this week.

Across the two-day event, Wes Lawrence and Alejandro Jantus joined growers, researchers, advisers and industry professionals to explore the latest developments in precision and digital agriculture.

Wes also presented on a precision agriculture approach to emissions management, exploring how data from machinery, inputs, yield and other farm systems can help producers better understand resource use, productivity and emissions at a sub-paddock level.

Vineyards generate a huge amount of valuable information, but when that data sits across multiple technologies, platforms and systems, bringing it together in a useful way can be a challenge.

The Vineyard of the Future Data Hub was developed to help solve that problem, creating one secure, centralised environment where vineyard information can be brought together to support better grower decision making.

Developed in partnership with Charles Sturt University, Food Agility, Wine Australia and AxisTech, the project combined research, industry knowledge and digital capability with valuable input from participating vineyards.

AxisTech was proud to lead the development of the Data Hub. The work went well beyond dashboarding and included integrations, infrastructure, the Vineyard Growth Calendar, alerts and notifications and the broader technical work required to bring information from multiple technologies and sources together.

We are very proud of what our team delivered and grateful to everyone who contributed their knowledge, feedback and experience throughout the project.

We are looking forward to seeing where the Vineyard of the Future Data Hub goes next!

We are looking forward to seeing AxisTech Founder and Managing Director Wes Lawrence take the stage at the 2026 Australian Precision Ag Symposium in Sydney.

Wes will be presenting on Precision Ag approach to emissions management, exploring how precision agriculture data can help producers better understand resource use, productivity and emissions at a sub-paddock level.

By bringing together data already being collected from machinery, inputs, yield and other farm systems, we can build a much clearer picture of what is happening across a farming operation, identify opportunities for greater efficiency and support better decision-making on farm.

Today is National Ag Day and this year’s theme, Stand with the Land, captures exactly what this day means to us. 💚🌾🐑 🐄

At AxisTech, standing with the land means standing with the producers who care for it, the communities built around it. We also want to highlight our AxisTech team who show up every day with heart, purpose and a genuine commitment to supporting Australian agriculture, bringing their care, curiosity, determination and clever thinking to everything we do.

We enjoyed a great lunch together today in our Perth office and it was a chance to connect and celebrate the people behind the work. A big thank you to Jan and Sheridan from the WA Pork Producers Association for joining us and for the cupcakes! 🎉🧁

We also shared a few National Ag Day facts that really put things into perspective:

🌾 95% of Australian farms are family-owned, often spanning generations
🗺️ Australia has 369 million hectares of agricultural land
💚 Aussie farmers care for more than half of the entire landmass of the country - larger than the size of India

These reminders ground us in why we do what we do to support the producers who steward our land and feed our nation.

Last week Mark Pervan CEO FarmMap4D and Suzanne Loveland Manager - Data Business attended the Digital Agrifood Summit in Wagga and it was a great reminder of where agrifood technology is heading.

Across the conference a few themes really stood out:

• Producers are still searching for clear and reliable ways to understand their carbon footprint but many are held back by scattered data and the challenge of pulling everything together for banks insurance companies and other partners.

• Simple tech is still winning. Whether it is a weather station or a mapping tool farmers want technology that is easy to use and genuinely helps them make decisions.

• Practical value drives adoption. Sustainability is important but producers are most likely to invest in solutions that are affordable practical and clearly support profitability.

Threaded through all of this was one consistent message. Data sharing is essential. Our sector needs easier ways to move data between systems so that insights are trusted actionable and not locked away in silos.

A big thank you to everyone involved for organising an excellent Summit. It was an inspiring few days filled with good conversations new connections and a view of the future of agrifood technology.

We also joined the Vineyard of the Future Immersion Day on Friday. AxisTech is proud to be leading the build of the project’s Data Hub. Using AxisStream’s data interoperability strengths the Hub will bring together diverse data via the Australian Agricultural Data Exchange (AADX) including weather IoT sensors machinery and vineyard operations data and present this in one secure interface that turns complex datasets into meaningful insights.

It was great to meet our project partners at Charles Sturt University in person and to see some of the technology onsite at the Vineyard of the Future. Being on the ground and seeing how everything will come together really highlighted the value and impact of this project.
