My old boy Monaro is almost 90 in human years.
He's the rat I kept from my very 1st litter of babies in early 2022.

All boys all have red eyes almost 8weeks old.

Out of the 15 babies there is 12 boys and 3 girls!
3 boys already have homes.
Feel free to message if you have interest in any of them they all have red eyes and are fawn/ginger and cream some hooded some Berkshire.

I wasn't having any more litters but there was an accidental one and now I have 15 babies they are just over a week old now thye where born on the 17/10 my lucky number ♡

Mum is cream with a white belly and red eyes.
And I know who the dad is now they have a bit of colour he is a ginger and white hooded with black eyes.
Majority of the babies look to have red eyes apart from the little odd one put who's just fully black haha.

Hey everyone just making a post to let you all know that I'm taking a step back from breeding rats for a while. I'm sure in the future ill start up again just for now I need bit of a break.
In the span of 4 years ive lots so many rats and it really does take a toll.

Belair has successfully delivered her 1st litter of 12 babies! On Tuesday afternoon I didn't post till now as she didn't seem interested in looking after the babies at all the following morning no babies had milk bands and where cold.
But I put her cage and babies in a dark and quiet room that seemed to do the trick all babies and mumma are now doing well.
I will be keeping a boy and girl so 10 will be available from the 19th of March❤

This is for anyone thats curious, here is a little bit of info on the difference between Male and Female rats.

MALES: Cuddley and more affectionate, Very chill and mellow, they are bigger then females and the worst part till last is that they mark their territory just like dogs so they can be a bit smelly but neutering can possibly help.

FEMALES: Very Independent, Adventurous can be cuddley but usually not overly, They are smaller then males, and females are more likely to develop tumour but spaying might help.

In saying all this though all rats have different personalities this is just from my experience, my males are all over me wanting attention as soon as I open their cage. The girls on the other hands they run straight out the cage and go explore they don't bother to give me the slightest bit if attention unless I have snacks 😂

in the time i've been breeding ive never actually witnessed the birth of any its always been while im asleep so glad I got to see at least one come into the world. I've left her be now as i dont want to stress her out im soo excited though.
Will do a count in the morning when I make them all breakfast!

Cage cleaning day today and then starting the parings soo excited to have babies again!
Plus my newest edition she's full white ❤
