Dawn at Kings Park, to services in North Freo and Mount Hawthorn. While a disgusting few attempted to selfishly hijack the Kings Park event, the vast majority of people showed us what this day is about. Respect and remembrance.
Lest we forget.

The government wants to cut NDIS funding but cutting costs here doesn't save money. It just shifts them onto our hospitals, schools, parents who are already struggling.
I spoke with Sarah Moran and Carolyn Weatherby about what these cuts mean on the ground for real people and real families in a scheme worth $99 billion to our economy.
How we treat people with disability reflects who we are as a nation. Cuts here aren't savings. They're putting lives at risk
Gas companies are paying next to nothing for resources that belong to every Australian.
$17 billion a year in gas export tax revenue could fund 1.3 million household solar and battery installations. WA already has the highest rooftop solar uptake in the world, but the people who need it most are still being left behind.
The revenue exists. The question isn't whether we can afford to act. It's whether our government has the spine to.
The gas industry says 25% tax on gas exports mean job losses and higher bills for Australians, but that clearly isn't true!
At today's Senate public hearing on the Taxation of Gas Resources, we heard from witnesses including Konrad Benjamin olitics, Dr Richard Denniss and Kellie Caught from among others, on why gas companies are getting away with paying next to nothing for resources that belong to Australians.
There's more to come so stay tuned for Part 2.
