The glow attracts demersals, the flashers add visibility and keeps some pickers away, perfectly balanced materials with top notch forged hooks. These Kona hooks are designed to catch fish, stay sharp and not fail in the harshest environments. We have not yet seen any rust on these hooks even after 12 weeks of use.

Kona hooks after a dozen sessions. Still sharp and no signs of rust. No deformation. The glow and the teasers have seen better days but this is why we use Kona.

Dozens of pelagic and demersal fish have been caught on these hooks in salt water. No washing or cleaning for several weeks and no they are not 316 stainless. Just perfectly tempered and forged steel.

These rigs are made with Kona flasher hooks. Available from sizes 4/0 to 10/0 in packs of 10. These are premium glow hooks with glowing flashers attached.

One of the major advantages with these flasher hooks is that you don't need a big skirt attached. These teasers produce less drag in the waters so if you are droning or bottom fishing, you are less likely to have the current wash your rig to the side.

Kona has perfected their quenching and tempering techniques to make their hooks are balanced in strength and flexibility for fishing. Their lighter hooks have right amount of flexibility, so you don't rip the hooks out of the fish's mouths but strong enough that they don't bend out like weaker hooks.

The Excalibur rods are built with full Fuji guides, double bound, Japanese Carbon and the 12ft and 14ft come with an extendable butt. The extendable butt gives you an extra foot of leverage for the cast and collapses so the reel seat isn't so far up when bringing in big fish.
