What a killer day 2 was with Jason Capobianco.
His use of light was amazing, doing things I would have never thought to do. To watch a master sculpt light and show how much of a difference a minor change can make was simply inspiring.
Thanks to all those that attended over the two days and huge appreciation to the events team for making this happen.

This month we thank ILFORD for sponsoring PPWA
When Paper Becomes Part of the Artwork: ILFORD GALERIE Textured Cotton Pearlescent
In photography and visual art, we spend a lot of time thinking about cameras, lenses, lighting, and editing. But once an image leaves the screen and becomes a print, the paper itself becomes part of the artwork. One paper that is turning heads in the fine‑art printing world is ILFORD GALERIE Textured Cotton Pearlescent — a surface that adds both texture and light to the image itself.
ILFORD, a company with over a century of history in photographic materials, developed this paper for artists and photographers who want more than a smooth, flat finish. Textured Cotton Pearlescent combines a classic fine‑art feel with a subtle shimmering effect, giving prints depth, character, and visual presence.
What Makes This Paper Different
At its core, this paper is made from 100% cotton rag, a material traditionally used in museum‑quality fine art printing. Cotton rag papers are known for their durability and longevity, making them ideal for archival prints that are meant to last for decades without yellowing or deterioration.
Who Is It For?
This paper is designed for photographers, artists, and printmakers who see printing as part of their creative expression rather than just an output step. It works well for:
Fine‑art photography
Portraiture
Landscape and nature images
Illustration and graphic art
Exhibition and portfolio prints
