Welterweight Khamzat Chimaev (8-0) has made MMA history by winning two UFC fights in 10 days on fight island.
The Russian-Swede defeated John Phillips at Fight Night 172 at middleweight. Ten days later he did not allow a strike to land from Rhys McKee at welterweight at FN 174 to became the first fighter to win two fights with the shortest turn around.

The NBL announced yesterday that the Illawarra Hawks have been saved and will be rebranded.
Illawarra were forced in to liquidation in May after not repaying debts of more than $2 million.
The club’s financial struggles opened the door to potential ownership from NBL rookie of the year, Lamelo Ball.
NBL said that Illawarra will now be co owned by former Philadelphia 76ers General Manager Bryan Colangelo, former Sydney Kings part owner, Dorry Kordahi, and American businessman, Michael Proctor.
Colangelo, a former two-time NBA executive of the year, resigned from the 76’ers in 2018 after he and his wife were caught up in a twitter burner account scandal.
Under the agreement with the new owners, NBL commissioner Jeremy Loeliger confirmed the team will now be known as ‘Hawks’
Wollongong, New South Wales will remain the primary team location but the Hawks could potentially play games in Canberra as well.
