We are incredibly proud to announce that our General Manager, Melanie Duryea, was honoured with the prestigious SCA (WA) President’s Award at the recent Strata Community Excellence Awards.

This is a rare and distinguished honour. In the entire history of the Strata Community Association (WA), this award has been bestowed upon only five individuals. It is reserved for those who have made a significant, lasting contribution to the sector through their goals, development, and overall leadership in Western Australia.

With Melanie receiving this acknowledgement, B Strata senior leadership now holds two of these five prestigious awards.
Melanie joins our Managing Director, Scott Bellerby, who received this honour in 2023. With no award given in 2024, seeing them stand side-by-side with their personal accolades is a powerful testament to the calibre of expertise leading our team.

This recognition reflects not just personal achievement, but a relentless commitment to elevating the strata industry.

Facts Over Noise: Allegations Against B Strata Dismissed

After six months of silence, the truth is now on the record.

The Strata Community Association’s Professional Standards Committee has formally dismissed the allegations made against B Strata — confirming there was no substance to the accusations.

Throughout this campaign, driven publicly by Western Australian Apartment Advocacy, we chose not to engage while the matter was under investigation. That was a difficult but deliberate decision — and the right one.

Now, with the facts independently verified, we’ve issued a full media statement. This is bigger than B Strata: it highlights a concerning culture of online hostility in our industry that undermines professionals and discourages those working hard to lift standards.
