I miss you.
I miss your presence in the house. I miss the sound of your paws on the floor and the way you greeted me each day. I miss the routines we shared and the comfort of simply having you near. 💞

But I don't miss seeing you in pain.

I don't miss watching you struggle through another difficult day.

I don't miss wondering if you were suffering more than you let me see.

I don't miss the medications that became part of our daily routine just to help you hold on a little longer.

I don't miss the worry in my heart every time your condition changed.

Loving you meant making impossible decisions. It meant choosing compassion, even when it broke my heart.
Missing you and feeling relieved that your pain has ended can exist together. One does not diminish the other.

Grief is not only sadness. Sometimes it is gratitude. Sometimes it is peace. Sometimes it is the quiet comfort of knowing that the love we had was stronger than our desire to keep you here for ourselves. 🙏

I miss you deeply. 💔
But I would never wish your suffering back just so I could have one more day. 🐾🤍

🌟 The Last Good Day 🌟

One of the most painful questions many pet parents ask themselves after saying goodbye is:

"Did I do it too soon?"

It's a question often fuelled by memories of a good day.
A day when they ate their dinner.
A day when they wagged their tail.
A day when they followed you into the garden or greeted you at the door. 🐾

After loss, those moments can become magnified. We look back and wonder if those good days meant they still had more time.
But when our pets are facing terminal illness, chronic pain or age-related decline, the goal is not to wait until there are no good days left.
The reality is that there is rarely a perfect moment to say goodbye.💔

Many families find themselves caught between two fears:
