On the 5th of May, We will be holding a presentation on what an Operating System is, its relation to hardware, and how to use this knowledge to save your laptops from E-waste.

To see so many people from different tech backgrounds coming together and istening to Ben describe the history of Linux was simply wonderful!

Through his personal experience working in Perth's IT Sector, Ben learned some lessons about when to use FOSS, and how to approach companies to suggest FOSS.

Seeing both experienced veterans of the industry and new faces to IT sharing and relating their experiences after the talk just shows how insightful events like this can be in understanding where we are as people in the world of software!

I look forward to seeing heaps of people at our next talk about the history of gaming on Linux!
