Finishing your art so it's ready for sale 👇
If you want to sell your art:
We recommend that you have a finishing process for your art.
This consists of a few things:
Sealing eg varnish/resin
Framing and ready to hang on a wall
Branding eg business cards
Gifts for follow up purchases eg 10% off your next order
Packaging eg eco friendly and nice to look at
This takes your art business from casual to professional.
A "care note" and thank you card to ensure longevity and return customers to your art... goes a long way. 😊
Remember that this can separate you from other creators and get you market and business ready.
What do you do to finish your art?

This is so powerful
She did so well. 💫💞
To do this at home:
3 small cups half filled with acrylic/floetrol mix.
Flip the cups onto the circular canvas.
Lift them and then tilt very carefully to stretch the paint.
To reach the paint to all sides, use a flat finger.
And walah! New art for your room.

Sometimes, it's better to have no cells. So you get effects like this! 💫👌
I have filmed this large (1 metre) piece being made, would you like me to share the video here? 😊
We call it marbling the paint. 🙌
There are plenty of way to get an abundance of cells if you want them. 💦
But a good way to interrupt cells forming is by using a marble method of pouring.
This is where you layer the paints in the cup, and give minimal interference. So you don't mix it, shake the cup or anything. You pour carefully onto the canvas, in the ring pour method (taught in our course).
You definitely don't add silicone!

One of our wonderful students wave art pieces.
Look at that thick beautiful paint. 😍
Want the secret to these creamy waves? 🍦
For the wave style of pour painting you want paint in a slightly thicker consistency, so a tip is to use more acrylic paint in your mix, and less water/floetrol. 💫
You still want your paint to pour. But have a thickness about it! That way you get these creamy waves 😊
I teach the wave technique in our beginners course 🌊🌊🌊
Our personal favourite style. ❤️
Well done Nuria!!! so proud of you 🙏

We teach this style, I'd say it's Bec's 'signature' style 😊 in the Fluid Art for Beginners Course... But we use blues. 🐋
Here they are inverted into pinks paints instead. 🐖
Be brave and free with your style. Try a lot of different combos to find your personal style. 🎉

Basically, when you focus on the art at hand.. The noise of the day slips away... 🤫
Bringing you to a sense of peace. 🕊️
When the noise quietens, then your brain waves don't have as much to think about. 🔇
They slow down. 🐌
The daily thoughts and stressors calm down. ✌️
Our natural bodies chemical releases slow down and we go into a healing state rather than a defence or attack state. ♥️
That was how I healed myself after years of working in crisis. 👌
Just you focusing on beautiful colour and calming movement of paint.
With the fun goal of creating an art piece. 🥰
Your art piece, if not at the time, then later.. will bring you (and many others) joy to look at 😊
