This beautiful Country where we live and work is Aboriginal Land 🖤💛❤️

We work all across Australia, with APM’s head office lying on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja in West Perth, Western Australia.

The lands and waters of every community we serve has been in the care of First Nations peoples for more than 65,000 years.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders connection to culture, Country, language, and community existed long before colonisation, and continues to this day.

We honour the Elders, past and present in our communities, recognise their incredible strength, and extend our respect to all First Nations people, including the Stolen Generations.

This year's National Sorry Day marks 29 years since the Bringing Them Home report was tabled, acknowledging the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families by the Australian government.

We recognise their suffering, grief and resilience, as well as the ongoing impact to survivors and communities.

We encourage all Australians to commit to truth-telling about our shared history, and to learn more about the Country you are on.

• Learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island sovereignty in the Uluru Statement from the Heart: https://ulurustatement.org/the-statement/view-the-statement/
• Read the Bringing The Home report: https://humanrights.gov.au/bringing-them-home/

Sovereignty has never been ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.

Does your team have an accessibility champion?

This Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we’re celebrating the people helping create a more inclusive world every single day.

People like Ayesha from APM Communities.

Ayesha is a Local Area Coordinator with a vision impairment, helping build more accessible, inclusive communities.

Speaking to APM Ambassador Ellie Cole for our recent podcast series, Ayesha shared how her journey started with something many people can relate to - learning to accept herself.

“It wasn't until after I left high school that I actually accepted my disability and said, ‘Stuff it, I don't care what people think,’ and it was the best thing I ever did.”

Ayesha uses her lived experience to empower others.

Building skills, creating opportunities, and showing what’s possible when workplaces focus on ability, not barriers.

Her advice to employers is simple:

Don’t be scared.

Focus on skills.

Create solutions.

Inclusive workplaces don’t just support people, they unlock potential.

What does a career that works around your life look like?

For Josh, it means doing what he loves - both in and out of work.

As a Physiotherapist at Lifecare Malvern Sports Medicine (part of APM Group), Josh supports a wide range of clients, from everyday Australians to high-level athletes.

Outside the clinic, he’s on the field playing and coaching local footy - something his role actively supports.

“Lifecare has created heaps of opportunity to work with athletes, while still giving me the flexibility to stay involved in sport,” he says.

Being part of a national network has also helped Josh grow his career - working across clinics, learning from experienced practitioners, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

For Josh, that access to knowledge and support is key.

“Asking questions and learning from experienced clinicians helps you grow faster,” he advises.

This National Careers Week, explore how a career with APM can give you the flexibility, support, and opportunity to grow - while staying connected to what matters most to you.

What helps you find the right place to start and grow your career?

For Shannon, it was that instant feeling she’d found somewhere she could learn, connect, and make a real impact.

Starting out as a new grad, she had her sights set on a hospital role.

But one visit to Early Start Australia changed everything.

She discovered a vibrant, collaborative environment where multidisciplinary teams work side by side to support young children and their families.

Six years on, Shannon is now the Early Intervention OT Lead and ESDM Program Lead.

Her role blends leadership, mentoring, and hands-on client work.

From supporting early intervention programs for children aged 0–5, to guiding new clinicians and managing her own caseload.

That mix of variety and purpose, combined with the chance to learn from a wide range of allied health professionals, has been key to her growth.

Backed by supportive leadership and the broader APM network, Shannon has built her confidence, expanded her skills, and stayed connected to a community of experts across locations.

At Early Start Australia, teamwork is everything. Teams learn from each other, support each other, and grow together - creating better outcomes for the children and families they work with.

For Shannon, it’s the small wins that matter most.

Those everyday milestones that add up to something life-changing.

This National Careers Week, discover how a career with APM and Early Start Australia can help you grow, feel supported, and make a difference from day one.

What sparked your career path?

For Stacey, it started in a small rural town of just 300 people - and a life-changing event that sparked a passion to help others.

When her sister was seriously injured in a car accident, Stacey witnessed firsthand the impact of compassionate healthcare professionals.

That moment set her on a path toward psychology, driven by a simple goal: make a difference.

From regional university studies and a focus on occupational stress, to clinical roles in mental health, private practice, and employee assistance programs - Stacey built a strong foundation supporting people through complex challenges.

Today, as an Area Manager and Registered Psychologist with Konekt (part of the APM Group), she leads multidisciplinary teams across states, delivering employment counselling and psychological assessment services.

But her journey didn’t stop there.

With the support of her leaders, Stacey has:

- Progressed into senior leadership roles

- Grown her clinical and strategic expertise

- Achieved Board Approved Supervisor status

- Mentored the next generation of psychologists and consultants

At APM, careers aren’t linear - they’re shaped by opportunity, support, and purpose.

From allied health to employment services, leadership to frontline roles, we’re proud to offer careers that:

- Grow with you

- Make a genuine difference in people’s lives

- Connect you to a global network of expertise

This National Careers Week, we’re celebrating the many paths our people take - and the impact they create along the way.

Today on ANZAC Day, we pause to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have served and continue to serve our country.

Their legacy lives on in the freedoms we cherish and the lives they’ve helped shape.

At APM Group, we are honoured to support veterans and their families as they transition beyond service, providing rehabilitation and employment support for a bright future.

Lest we forget.

What’s the first step someone can expect when they start with APM for employment support?

Whether it’s for Inclusive Employment Australia (previously Disability Employment Services), or another program, the first thing a job seeker can expect is some understanding for the challenges they face.

For Amelia it starts with getting to know each person.

“We'll ask questions just a bit about what their hobbies are, what their interests are, and what they see themselves doing,” she explains.

Then they start looking at the best way forward to shape the program to the needs of each person.

Watch Amelia discuss the approach for participants of employment services and how she helped Sean overcome the challenge of a chronic health condition to achieve his employment goals…
