At our Kensington Early Learning Centre, the Ngoolyak Kindy room have been diving into a world of imagination, curiosity, and a little bit of magic with our potion making experience. 🫧✨🧪

Using colourful liquids, natural materials, and lots of creativity, the children explored mixing, measuring, and experimenting, watching their potions fizz, swirl, and change right before their eyes.

From "invisibility potions" to "super strength elixirs", every creation came with a story, sparking language, collaboration, and plenty of laughter.

Potion making is not just fun, it builds early science skills, encourages problem solving, and supports imaginative play.

We loved seeing everyone’s creativity shine. What kind of potion would you make?

Our team puts so much care into creating engaging and inviting displays for children, and it is always wonderful to see their work come to life in our learning spaces.

Check out a recent display from our Claremont centre in recognition of World Bee Day. It is a great example of how thoughtful setups can support children’s curiosity and learning.

Thank you to our educators for the time and effort they put into creating meaningful environments every day. 🐝

Children at our Kensington Early Learning centre were recently treated to an African drumming class led by Kofi from Akwaaba African Drumming.

Akwaaba (uh-kwaa-buh) means welcome in the Akan language of Ghana - and that’s exactly how Kofi made everyone feel. His vision is to use traditional African drumming and music to promote harmony and cultural understanding.

The children had an absolute ball, exploring a variety of instruments before coming together for a drumming performance like no other. The energy, smiles, and rhythm filled the room!

Across our centres, we’ve been celebrating National Reconciliation Week through thoughtful room displays and beautiful creations by our children.

Our Perth Airport centre has also been proudly supporting a clothing drive for the Jigalong community in remote WA. If you have any warm children’s clothing (sizes 0–14) that your family no longer needs, please consider donating them at our Perth Airport centre so they can be passed directly on to the Jigalong community.

Today we celebrate Mother’s Day and recognise the care, strength, and love that mothers and mother figures bring to our lives in so many different ways.

We know this day can feel different for everyone. For those carrying loss, longing, or complex experiences of motherhood, we are holding you in our thoughts and honouring your journey 💜

To all who step into a caring and nurturing role, however that looks, we see you and appreciate you. It is a privilege to support you and families across WA, today and every day.

Ahead of Mother’s Day this weekend, our Perth Airport centre celebrated with a special morning tea.

Each room baked something delicious for their mums and loved ones:
🍪 Wonderers: Gluten-free vanilla cookies
🍌 Discoverers: Banana bread
🧁 Explorers: Egg and dairy-free cupcakes
🍋 Adventurers: Lemonade scones
🍎 Investigators: Apple muffins

The morning tea was a great success, with one parent sharing, “Thank you so much… the kids did so well, super tasty. Truly made my day.” 💜

Last week, the children at Kensington Early Learning Centre spent the week thoughtfully creating beautiful wreaths for ANZAC Day, to honour the soldiers who have protected, and continue to protect us.

On Friday, the wreaths were carefully laid by the Ngoolyak children at the memorial gardens, before they respectfully recited the Ode of Remembrance. Following this, the children enjoyed babycinos together at a local cafe, Sixteen Ounces.

The children returned to the gardens befiore heading back to the centre, where their wreaths were admired and warmly appreciated by members of the community.
