It’s true what they say, that grief is just an overwhelming amount of love with no place to go. Maybe that’s why mine feels so boundless, because I honestly don’t have the words to describe how much I love and miss you Dad🪽

How has a whole year passed😩

I still listen for your car coming down the street.
I still cry when I see the coffee machine, because I know I’ll never get to make you one again.
I still find myself driving towards your street without thinking, just to come and say hello.
I see you everywhere.
In your favourite chair you used to sit in.
In the garden, on the deck we built together.
In every place you touched, helped build, or were simply present in.
In the morning sun rays, having our morning coffee.
And up in the clouds, because that’s where I feel closest to you.

Words will never come close to describing what it feels like to have lost you. But I know it’s a privilege to feel this grief because it means I’ve been lucky enough to know such love. Whenever you are in the universe Daddy, I hope you know that you will always be my home❤️‍🩹
