Troll Dolls History’

Did you know?!

In Scandinavian mythology, trolls dwelled on the edges of society, in menacing forests, castles and underneath bridges. They harassed and kidnapped women, demanded tolls, and sometimes possessed magical powers. Troll dolls’ electrified hair and wide eyes gives off a look of terror.

Did you know; In 1964, Americans purchased more than one million troll dolls. The record sales even drove the company ‘Dam Things’ to purchase Iceland’s entire harvest of sheepskin for use as the dolls’ iconic hair

I handmade these cute little troll dolls, that have fire from a lighter than fluffy long hair, turned into a perfect necklace to go raving in and not get it stolen! $45 each and I can add you name into the necklace for an extra $2 per letter.

Wands***

Magicians, wizards, witches, sorcerers, and fairies all know that to give their magical powers a boost, they need a magic wand. These thin, hand-held devices were said to be the source of magic or, at the very least, served as a distraction away from a sleight-of-hand. It may be tempting to credit JK Rowling for the invention of the magic wand, but in fact, this power stick has a long and diverse background
They are used to collect, store, direct and finally release energy to and from a certain point. Ancient healers would often use a wand-like tool such as a twig or small branch to help them cast out evil spirits from the bodies of their patients.

Wands are a source and a tool of fairies' magical powers. By using wands, fairies fuel their powers. When a fairy is erasing someone's memory, they use their wand, and fairy dust comes out.

By the 1st century AD, the wand was a common symbol of magic in Roman cults, especially Mithraism. In the 3rd and 4th centuries, there are frequent depictions on sarcophagi of Jesus Christ using a magic wand to perform miracles, such as the raising of Lazarus and feeding the multitude.

One of the earliest examples of a wand-like instrument being used in sacred rituals comes from the ancient Zoroastrians.
