Recently we have seen various cars and bikes from the Group 1 ranks, and today we have the big show nitro burning funny cars.
Adam Murrihy from the Northern territory has entered the Winternationals as one of six runners in what will be a typically fast and quick bracket for the plastic fantastics.

Not long now until the Winternationals and I get the chance to sniff some more nitro and photograph another album of memories and history.
Like this shot from the 2025 event, with Damien Harris going through his burnout in preparation for another three second, 330+mph pass.

Father and Son team, Bill and Josh Fletcher, have had many battles down the Willowbank track in Supercharged Outlaws over the last decade or so.
Both have entered the bracket for next week's Winternationals as part of a massive 27 car field. Should be fun

Barry Plumpton and Zoran Gajic lined up together in Pro Mod at last year's Winternationals.
This year, Plumpton out of Auckland, New Zealand, has entered the new IHRA Pro Mod 660 bracket in a field of six.
Gajic will challenge another five racers in the Pro Mod eliminator.

John JB Barbagello the man behind Rooster Power engines is possibly (probably) the most experienced Pro Stock driver in the ten car field entered for the Winternationals.
The north Queensland based racer has been behind the wheel of a Pro Stock car for as long as I have been behind a camera lens, and always commits himself well in his annual outing to Willowbank to the Winternationals.

Back onto two wheels today, and what a way to finish a week showcasing my faves entered for the Winters with this monster top fuel motorcycle run by Mackay based businessman and racer John Zahra.
Top Fuel Motorcycle stalwarts for many years, John and Josie and crew with their blue bullet will again be a part of an exciting bracket at the biggest event of the year.

This 1969 Chevelle doorslammer run by Emilio Spinozzi is another I am looking forward to seeing again at the Winters.
Emilio and his team have been seeing much success recently, and with Michael Marriot, the expert's expert on board as crew chief, the team are hoping for a positive outing at this year's Winternationals.

The entry list for all brackets competing at the upcoming Winternationals has been finalized and as this 1957 Chevy Top Doorslammer is a personal favourite of mine, I am real impressed to see Matt Abel's name included.
