Back in the old home town again after a wonderful trip to Brisbane and the Winters, and now ready to fill the albums on the website with edits of the remaining photos from the event.
Before I post the next edits tomorrow, I have this.
I don't think I have made any secret over the years of my favoritism of the blown sedans of Top Doorslammer as my "must see" bracket at the races, thanks solely the bracket's hero and pioneer, Victor Bray and his black 1957 Chevy. A lifelong dedication begun.
This is a few of my faves I put together on the flight home last night of all the stars of this years' Gulf Western Oil Winternationals.

Hi All

The highlight of my annual trip east to is spend time with family, and grandies that I sadly don't get to see enough.
So it was a double buzz to have my Daughter and two of the grandies come to the track to watch the Winternationals racing and see what their Gangy does with the cameras they have heard so much about.
I am returning to Perth on Wednesday, and the ongoing editing and posting and adding to the relevant days of action in the website will continue. www.philreevesportsphotography.com.au
I still have many many many, so apologies if there is a specific racer or bracket you are waiting to see, rest assured it will happen.
I want to show you the shots as much as you want to see the action. Please stick with it and check back regularly to see the progress.

When the races are finished the maintenance begins back in the workshop in preparation for the next rounds.
Photographers retreat to edit the (potentially) thousands of images captured from such a huge event, and present them to the adoring public.
Today the Sunday afternoon edits are ongoing, and will do for some time to come as I make my way through the images from last weekends' Winternationals.
This album showcases just a small selection of (mostly) Sportsman racers doing their thing over the event.

I had the pleasure of sharing the wall at the Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway | Drag Racing's Finest with a great bunch of fellow photographers, a few for the first time.
One was Craig Buchanan Photography who got this shot of me photographing Josh Leahy in the ROCKET nitro funny car.
And with a fellow shooter I admire greatly for many reasons, not the least is his outstanding ability as a photographer, Dave Reid from Drag Photos. This was shared by Corfield Media Solutions.

Whether they leave on two wheels or one, any vehicle that can carry the front runners on launch will always be a talking point for the fans.
A small sample of those that can and do is in this album. Enjoy and marvel.

Enjoy another album today of the PEOPLE who make a day at the races fun, amongst the endless work to achieve good results for their Team and the fans.

The Winter nationals had some awesome machinery in the house and the performances of all was outstanding.
But a race meeting is not just cars and bikes, they all need people to run them and support them, be it parents, friends, crews, BUGS and fans, all are very appreciated by those that they help or support.
The officials, my fellow photographers and security etc. are all needed in their own capacity.
This is the first album highlighting the PEOPLE behind or around the Teams showing a range of emotions after a win or a loss.
