Spring is here! The visible change of seasons makes a garden dynamic. The lavender flowers of the Jacaranda tree are always a highlight. Using street trees to enhance the size of your own garden is a wonderful design tool.

Something as simple as adding Festoon Lighting overhead changes the whole feel of a space. The best part of a well sized outdoor area is how it can adapt with different activities... the outdoor table becomes a craft table; the bench gets used as a bbq spot and the deck can be used for breaking out some dance moves!

A large painted timber deck accommodates a full-sized outdoor dining table, overlooking a brick paved area & lemon tree. The custom concrete bench & shed has doors clad in cedar timber, re-used from the rear facade of the existing house. The wood fired pizza oven is a functional feature in the backyard. The mature frangipani tree was transplanted to create a focal point of the backyard.

A homemade cubby is really the best place for a nap!

A light green wall colour is perfect for a child's bedroom as it is a wonderful background to vibrant colours, typical of kids' toys & books. The green wall is contrasted with the period fireplace, skirting & cornices painted in Lexicon Half.

Inspiration for the interior started with looking at the existing character of the space. The dark colour of the bespoke wardrobe joinery was selected from the colour in the existing fireplace tiles. The closest colour was 'Sea Deep'. The mood board illustrates part of the process of specifying carpet, curtains, paint colours & furniture

A compact but very efficient open plan living, dining & kitchen for a family of four. A new large bi-fold door was installed to maximise the physical & visual connection to the backyard. An integrated retractable flyscreen and concealed motorised roller blind make it a functional space year-round.

The interior is light and bright with the introduction of European oak floorboards and a fresh neutral wall colour. Custom joinery hides aways shoes and keeps the entry clean and clutter free.
