Dear team,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our beloved swimming group Swimclan 🏊‍♂️

This decision has been immensely difficult to make.

Since Swimclan's establishment in 2020, our mission has been to support individuals in reaching their swimming goals and to create a fun, positive, and supportive environment for people to thrive in.

And what a true pleasure it's been!

We have so many fond memories from these last few years, and to be able to accompany people on their sporting journeys has been an exceptional privilege for us 🙏🏼

Unfortunately, with rising costs, a challenging business environment, and increasing personal commitments, we felt we were no longer able to sustain what we were doing with Swimclan, and this ultimately led us to this decision.

We wish to extend our personal gratitude to each of you for all your trust and unwavering support over this journey.

Your contributions have played such a huge role in making Swimclan what it was and the tight-knit community it has been ❤️

For those of you who still hold unused class passes, please reach out to us with your banking details via email (addresses below), and we will facilitate a refund as soon as we can 💪🏼

While this chapter may be drawing to a close, who's to say what the future may hold? There's always a chance we might return someday 🙃

CHRISTMAS SWIMS 🏊ARE CHRISTMAS WINS🎄

‘Our caps come off’ for all those who came down and completed the final year open water swim with SwimClan

We can’t wait to what 2022 will entail for the Clan - stay tuned to what’s ahead!

Due to the weather changes this Saturday and for the safety of the swimmers we are going to be CHANGING the course of the Christmas Swim

THIS SATURDAY THE 18TH

⛔️NO WATERMAN’S TO SORRENTO⛔️
- The weather is set the tone on how the swim will be, so we will NOT be swimming from Waterman’s to Sorrento
- TAG your friend to let them know
- Message them if they were planning to come along

However there is a silver lining where we will be changing then course of the swim.

✅ SORRENTO CIRCUIT ✅
- We will be hugging the coast and be doing a circuit at Sorrento Beach
- MEETING POINT: ‘the finish line’ of the Sorrento swim, North of the Sorrento Surf Club
- TIME: still the same, in the water at 6:30AM
- Paddlers, Coaches and Community still included!

If you have any questions, concerns feel free to message us prior to the swim.

We apologise for the inconvenience and we are still so excited to see you there with some community and coffee post swim.

This Saturday the 18th of December you are invited to our End of Year Christmas Swim!

No better way to finish this year strong than with an end of year coastal swim with The Clan

One of our ways that we want to say thank you and bring some Christmas cheer is:
- FIRST 15 TO REGISTER: will get a FREE SwimClan Swimming Clap
- Let us know if you’re in and we will bring the caps down on the Saturday morning
- NO Show, NO Cap: So be there!
So get your fast twitch fibres ready and get in FAST!

Your SAFETY is our top priority so you will be swimming, accompanied by our coaches in the water and our paddlers on top, from Watermans Bay down to Sorrento Beach.

That being said carpooling will be needed, however if you need assistance feel free to let us know!

WAS IT A CHRISTMAS SWIM WITHOUT A CHRISTMAS PHOTO?? - we will encourage you to please stay for the classic Christmas Post Card picture 📸 and community chat and coffee ☕️ post swim

FOMO is real and we want you to make sure that you get to be a part of this unique community event.

THE CHECKLIST 👇
☑️ Arrive in the Watermans Bay car park for “6:10AM” (see on the map).
*Parking there is limited so arrange car pool / drop off. Give yourself plenty of time because we will be providing a briefing at 6:15 and leaving 6:30am sharp*

☑️If car pooling, best to leave one car at Sorrento with towel and change of clothes and bring your essentials to Watermans Bay

☑️ Goggles

☑️ Cap

☑️ Bathers (of course)

☑️ Vaseline

☑️ Wetsuit (If applicable)

☑️Any requirements we need to know from you prior to the swim to ensure your safety and well-being

📝 PLEASE NOTE FOR SWIMMERS
The swim will finish after the third and final groyne (marked on the map).

There are public toilets nearby and COFFEE can be purcahsed at the Sorrento SLSC
