Back to the plex we go for the last time this season

TAKE TWO AT DECIDING A CHAMPION!

After the disappointment of a rain-out a fortnight ago that halted proceedings on what was meant to be the championship decider, the stage is once again set at the Perth Motorplex for a blockbuster conclusion to the 2025/26 Pro Dirt Series, presented by the team at ABN Trade Mates.

What was left unfinished now returns as Western Australiaโ€™s best Late Model competitors prepare to finally settle the score and crown a champion.

A strong field of nominations has once again been assembled for the rescheduled finale, ensuring a fitting conclusion to what has been a highly competitive and entertaining season.

Heading into the final round, Joe Chalmers (Team BCM Motorsport:) retains the advantage at the top of the standings. Still chasing his first feature race victory of the season, Chalmers has built his campaign on consistency and returns aboard the Nylander Motorsport #54 determined to convert that form into a championship-winning result.

Hot on his heels is Beau Oldfield (Oldfield Racing), just 39 points adrift. Oldfield has impressed throughout his rookie season and, with the reset that comes from the rain delay, remains firmly within striking distance. One strong night could be enough to turn the tables and secure the title.

Warren Oldfield (Oldfield Racing) sits third in the standings and, while still mathematically in contention, faces a steep challenge. It would take a near-perfect performance combined with some misfortune for those ahead, but if the past fortnight has shown anything, itโ€™s that nothing can be taken for granted.

Rounding out the top five are Jay Cardy (Cardy Racing Components) and Michael Holmes (Michael Holmes Racing), both of whom have been consistent all season and will be eager to finish their campaigns on a high in the rescheduled decider.

Adding further intrigue, the Perth Motorplex Track Championship will also be finalised on the night. Chalmers again leads that battle, with Warren Oldfield and Beau Oldfield close behind, while Holmes and Luke Halliday (Halliday Racing) remain in the mix. With both the series and track honours still unresolved after the washout, every lap and result counts!

Beyond the championship contenders, the field is stacked with drivers capable of playing spoiler. The returning Brent Vosbergen (Team Vosbergen Racing - TVR), feature winner Abbey Pickering (All About Racing), in-form Rod Musarra (Team Rocket) fresh off an outstanding Speedweek, and the ever-dangerous Jamie Oldfield will all have a say in how the final plays out.

We also welcome Bryn Haythornthwaite back to the seat, contesting a Pro Dirt Series round for the first time in two years, where he contested the 2024 Grand Final and came home thirteenth.

With unfinished business from a fortnight ago, two championships on the line, and a full field ready to deliver, the Pro Dirt Series Grand Final promises to be well worth the wait.

It all comes down to thisโ€ฆ.take two!

Almost time for the last prodirt round of the season

PRO DIRT SERIES GRAND FINAL SET TO DECIDE CHAMPION THIS WEEKEND!

This weekend at the Perth Motorplex, the curtain will fall on the 2025/26 Pro Dirt Series, presented by the team at ABN Trade Mates, and all eyes will be on a tightly contested championship battle that is still very much up for grabs.

A strong field of nominations has been assembled for the finale, ensuring a fitting conclusion to what has been a highly competitive and entertaining season for Late Model racing in Western Australia.

Heading into the final round, Joe Chalmers (Team BCM Motorsport:) holds the advantage at the top of the standings. Despite not yet claiming a feature race victory this season, Chalmersโ€™ consistency has been the cornerstone of his campaign, and he once again returns aboard the Nylander Motorsport #54 looking to turn that consistency into a championship-winning performance.

Hot on his heels is Beau Oldfield (Beau Oldfield 11), just 39 points adrift. Oldfield has shown strong pace throughout his rookie season and, with the right results on the night, is well within striking distance of overhauling Chalmers to claim the title. It shapes as a genuine two-driver fight heading into the final round.

Warren Oldfield (Oldfield Racing) has worked his way back into third position in the standings and, while mathematically still in contention, faces a significant challenge to close the gap. It would require a near-perfect night and some misfortune for those ahead, but in motorsport, anything is possible.

Rounding out the top five in the series standings are Jay Cardy (Cardy Racing Components) and Michael Holmes (Michael Holmes Racing), both of whom have been consistent performers and will be looking to finish their campaigns on a high note with a strong showing in the finale.

Adding further intrigue to the night is the Perth Motorplex Track Championship, which will also be decided. Chalmers again leads the way in that battle, with Warren Oldfield and Beau Oldfield close behind, while Holmes and Luke Halliday (Halliday Racing) complete the top five. With both the series and track honours on the line, every heat race and every lap of the feature will carry significant weight.

Beyond the championship contenders, the nominations list features a depth of talent capable of influencing the outcome. Drivers such as the returning Brent Vosbergen (Team Vosbergen Racing - TVR), feature winner Abbey Pickering (All About Racing), the impressive Rod Musarra (Team Rocket), who is fresh off an awesome Speedweek campaign, and the always threatening Jamie Oldfield (Oldfield Racing) ensure that the path to the title will be anything but straightforward.

With a quality field, two championships on the line, and a seasonโ€™s worth of work coming down to one final night, the stage is set for a thrilling Pro Dirt Series Grand Final.

Fans can expect high-intensity racing, strategic drives, and no shortage of drama as Western Australiaโ€™s best Late Model competitors battle it out for ultimate honours.

It all comes down to this weekend.
