I’m so proud of how far I’ve come and the opportunities that are opening up for me. My mental health is still pretty unstable but having a passion like the one I have for making ring gear helps immensely. Hi friends!! It’s been a hot minute (or 6 weeks 😂) since I’ve posted anything so I thought it was time for an update. Since taking a step back I’ve been able to just focus on myself and getting my headspace sorted, and it has worked absolute wonders. It hasn’t been easy, and I know it’ll be something I have to continue working on, but I’m finally at peace with myself, who I am as a person, and where my life is headed, and that’s something I haven’t felt probably ever in my life. With that being said I’m still not sure if I’ll reopen my business, but I’ve allowed myself to get back into sewing with absolutely no expectations or pressure. I still want to share my journey and what I’m creating so I’ve started a sewing Instagram and page (both are the same handles @ meaganduxsews) if you’d like to follow along and see what I’m up to: Meagan Dux sews thank you for the continued love and support, it truly means the world to me 💕

Hi everyone… this post is slightly long, but it’s incredibly important.

You may (or may not) have noticed I haven’t been active in a while. Unfortunately my mental health hasn’t been very good lately. I’ve had to completely step back from all of my duties as a small business owner and it has absolutely affected my business, as well as my mental health. I guess when you realise you need to stop and take a breath you feel a bit like you’ve failed…you either continue running your business knowing you can’t give it 100% or you completely stop and allow yourself the time to deal with the things that are causing you to spiral. Unfortunately for me, it’s the latter. After much consideration I have made the heartbreaking decision to pause Meagan Jane Designs for the foreseeable future. Right now, my mental health has to be my top priority. I’m in dangerous territory, and I need to focus on getting myself out of the dark place I’m in.

I can’t tell you if I’ll ever be back, and if I will be back I don’t know what capacity it will be in, but I want to sincerely thank anyone and everyone who has supported me in this crazy journey. I hope you know how much I truly appreciate all the love and support I have received since I opened Meagan Jane Designs. It has been one of the best things I’ve ever done and as much as I wish things could be different I step away from this proud of what I have achieved.

I want to especially thank Julian Ward - Pro Wrestler for allowing me to chase one of my biggest dreams. I was able to make it happen because of him and while I am taking a break I will still be working with Jules on ring gear (I can’t completely stop sewing, I think it would make my mental health even worse!). Aside from ring gear for Jules I’ll only be sewing for myself and for fun, right now that’s all I’ve got in me.

Remember it’s okay to not be okay. Be kind and reach out if you know someone who might need a bit of extra love and support.

After a relaxing weekend celebrating my birthday it’s back into work mode. A very busy afternoon/evening of mask making ahead for me and I couldn’t be happier! 🥰 although I’m slightly jealous that my assistant is snoozing away 😂. I’ve also decided that I’ll be adding kid sized masks to my website within the next few days for those who can’t make it to C15 to grab one so if you’re after kids masks they’ll soon be available 😊

Hello everyone! It has been an absolutely insane week for me and I’ve finally found a split second to do a quick mask update. Once again my orders have gone off like a frog in a sock 😂 I am so thankful to even be in this position, but due to the amount of orders and the fact it’s my birthday this weekend I’ve made the decision to close off orders for a few days. You can still place an order, however it won’t be processed until next week. Any outstanding orders will be still be processed and ready to be posted/collected within the next few days. If you are after a kids mask your best bet is to run (literally…they’re selling out quicker than I can write this post 😂) to C15 Espresso in Hammond Park as I stock kids masks exclusively there 😊. New fabrics have landed in the Meagan Jane Designs mask collection! Including the gingham prints (available in 4 colours!) along with some new Rugrats, butterflies, daisies and Toy Story (plus a few more adorable fabrics!). Kids sized masks can be made on request. Please note any orders placed between now and Sunday won’t be made until Monday as I’m taking the entire weekend off to get some much needed sleep! 😂.
