Become someone you respect.
Most men know the qualities they admire in others.
Integrity.
Honesty.
Courage.
Reliability.
The real question is whether we're living those qualities ourselves.
Self-respect isn't something we demand from others.
It's something we earn through our actions.
By keeping our word.
Doing the right thing when nobody is watching.
Showing up when it's easier not to.
The small choices matter.
Over time they shape the man you become.
Change inside. Improve outside.

Last night I had the privilege of attending the WA Men's Mental Wellbeing Awards as a finalist in the Community Support category.
Whilst I didn't take home the award, simply being nominated and recognised alongside so many passionate and talented people working in the men's wellbeing space was a genuine honour.
I want to sincerely thank whoever took the time to nominate me. I still don't know who you are, but your support means a great deal.
A huge thank you also to Paul Litwin and the team at Mens Talk AU for hosting such a fantastic evening and for shining a spotlight on the important work being done to support men across Western Australia.
The recognition is appreciated, but the real highlight for me has always been the men who have shown up. The men who have walked through the doors of Men in the Hood. The men who have been willing to be vulnerable. The men who have leaned into the conversations, challenged themselves, supported one another, and committed to their own growth.
Watching men reconnect with themselves and each other continues to be the most rewarding part of this journey.
Grateful to play a small part in it β€οΈ

Men's Health Week kicks off today and is a reminder that your health matters.
Most men are good at keeping going.
We push through.
We stay busy.
We focus on what's next.
But every now and then, it's worth slowing down and checking in with yourself.
How are you really doing?
Not just physically.
Mentally.
Emotionally too.
Slow down.
Pay attention.
Take care of yourself.
Change inside. Improve outside.

Men in the Hood Gosnells Session 3: Men's Work β The Deep Dive π
Today we explored some of the things that sit beneath the surface β our pain, inner critic, coping mechanisms, and the parts of ourselves we often avoid looking at.
What stood out most wasn't the content. It was the willingness of the men in the room to show up honestly, lean into the conversations, support one another, and do the work.
Men's Work isn't about being perfect. It's about becoming more aware, more intentional, and more connected to ourselves and those around us.
Proud of the men who showed up today. Looking forward to continuing the journey together.

This Saturday we gather for Session 3 of Men in the Hood Gosnells.
Men's Work: The Deep Dive.
We'll be exploring some of the challenges, pressures and experiences that shape us as men, while sharing honest conversation and practical tools for growth.
Whether you've attended previous sessions or are considering joining us for the first time, new men are always welcome.
As we head into Men's Health Week, it feels like a timely opportunity for men to come together, connect and reflect.

Take responsibility for your life.
It's easy to blame circumstances, other people, or bad luck when things aren't going the way we hoped.
But real change begins when we stop looking outward and start looking inward.
You may not be responsible for everything that has happened to you, but you are responsible for what happens next.
Own your choices.
Own your actions.
Own your future.
Change inside. Improve outside.

A lot of men reach a point where they know something needs to change.
Not because their whole life is falling apart.
But because beneath the surface, something feels off.
Maybe it's disconnection.
Maybe it's pressure.
Maybe it's the feeling you've drifted away from the man you want to be.
The Better Man Series was created to give men a space to slow down, reflect honestly, and begin making meaningful change from the inside out.
No pretending.
No perfection.
Just honest conversation, self-awareness, and practical growth.
