100 First Nations women-led businesses and growing!❤️💛🖤

Recently, we celebrated a powerful milestone at Ember Connect — 100 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women-owned businesses are now part of our Business Directory.

From artists and creatives, to psychologists, consultants, educators, designers, printers and more — the diversity, strength and talent across our community is incredible. ✨

The Business Directory is about more than visibility.

It’s about:
+Supporting each other
+Creating opportunities for procurement and collaboration
+Backing First Nations women in business

We know from our Game Changer Grants and broader community that there is a strong and growing interest in entrepreneurship, and this is one of the ways we’re supporting that journey.

Want to explore and support these businesses?
Or add your own business to the directory?

Join Ember Connect (it’s free and takes a minute):
https://emberconnectlive.com.au/

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women can join as members, and non-Indigenous women are welcome as allies.

If you’re a First Nations woman in business, you can apply to be part of the directory once you join (it must be your business).

And if this isn’t for you, please share it with your networks — let’s continue to grow and support First Nations women in business. ❤️💛🖤

The power of mentoring!
Our 2025 mentoring program brought together 68 First Nations women from across the country, supporting 34 mentoring relationships grounded in connection, guidance and shared experience.

The results speak for themselves, our survey respondents told us:
✨ 100% would recommend the program
✨ 92% felt more confident to pursue new career opportunities or progression
✨ 75% developed healthier routines and goal setting practices

But beyond the numbers, it’s the stories that matter.

Women shared how mentoring helped them build confidence, gain clarity, ask for promotions, return to work, and back themselves in ways they hadn’t before.

This program wouldn’t be possible without the support of:
Indigenous Business Australia whose funding helped us pilot the program in 2023
100 Women whose grant in 2025 enabled us to continue and strengthen the model.
We’re continuing to grow the program in 2026 and are always looking for more participants.
Right now, we have an incredible group of mentors ready to go, and we’re especially looking for more mentees to join.
Find out more or register your interest via the link in our bio or head to: https://emberconnect.com.au/mentoring/
And if this opportunity isn’t for you, please share it with your networks, it could make a real difference for someone else.

Let’s keep backing each other!

This is a space for real talk, learning, and connection — come along, listen in, and be part of the conversation.
