Baloo has been gifted to a lovely couple with a darling little senior Papillon sister🐶 Baloo’s chronic arthritis is being managed with his medication plan and his new parents cook beautifully healthy food for him. Including lactose free yoghurt for his probiotic requirements to enhance good gut health and assist with nausea. It has been months of rehabilitation for this angel, he is such a funny, sweet soul and we wish him the best life. No more neglect sweetie, just love and care.

Last kisses💋🩷💋Today was darling Dolly’s last day having her rehabilitation with me😢🩷Although I am utterly sad, I am incredibly grateful at what we have all achieved, that being; you all as donors, our vets, Fc and nurses. Since she has been with me the past couple of weeks, Dolly has reaffirmed that the sincere grit and strength animals have to simply be loved and live, is overwhelmingly strong. Dolly is one tough little lady! BUT she should still not have had to be tested like this. There has been such an increase in abuse cases on cavoodles and Shih Tzu/ maltese breeds into our rescue especially this year. There has been a bit of information about how breeders are getting ‘away’ with bypassing breeding regulations, and ‘underground’ unethical breeding practices. The primary issue is demand. If there is no demand for people to buy off gumtree and FB from these ‘people’ (I’d rather say f***ers), there would be no supply and we wouldn’t be overwhelmed with ex breeding dogs with a miriad of health issues. PLEASE to God, be ethical with where you buy or adopt a puppy/ dog from.

This little diamond Dolly has become so fond of her ‘chicken tenders,’ she has overcome her fear of face touching (she used to flinch like she was about to be hit😢), and now lets me smother her with love and cuddles…even without the lure of 🍗 !✨🩷 I’m sure I’ve seen a few tail wags!🥰

She is excited to get her treats all day and well into the wee eary hours! This is one way we have been able to establish a beautiful trusting bond with her. We are safe people, and are not going to harm her.

In her vet appointment on Wednesday, her eyes were checked (hence orange dye on brows), and she has age related cataracts and a few other ocular pressure issues.

She can still see and we will continue to manage her sight whilst maintaining what is ethically responsible, being that she has a great quality of life with love and care and doesn’t have to endure more surgery.

She has shown a few signs of doggy dementia at certain times, however we are not too sure yet, as it may also be PTSD, as the ‘dementia like’ symptoms and confusion have almost diminished.

She will soon be ready to go to her new home, where she will continue her rehabilitation and luxury retirement. What a journey, thank-you to everyone for making this possible.

We have just given sweet senior boy Uszko🐶 his huge dental operation yesterday and today he is recovering like a little Champion. Our beautiful vet found he had developed an infection called- Pericarditis which is the inflammation of the pericardium, the thin fluid-filled sac that surrounds and protects the heart. This is due to the bone above his rotten tooth being infected and ‘leaking’ the infection throughout the body- I hope I am explaining this coherently. It was just amazing our vets found this after Xrays and surgery, as his heart condition may be less severe than we thought!☺️♥️ Uszko will remain on antibiotics for three weeks until his next vet appointment. He is recovering in his new very loving home.🏠 Teeth photos of infection. If anything, this post is really important to read if you have a senior dog, as a dental appointment may actually be life saving. We were lucky to have some donations left from Dolly, from all our lovely followers which we put towards this little boys operation, two lives saved🙏🏻

Adventurous senior cutie pie Uszko has been adopted to a lovely couple where is is just thriving! Uszko has a grade 6 heart murmur and our vets have stabilised him over the past few weeks with much needed medication, so he can have his much needed dental operation tomorrow. His heart is now strong enough to go in for surgery and our very capable vets will make sure he can eat pain free. His teeth have rotted in many places so it is a larger costly procedure as many extractions will need to take place. We will keep you all posted on his surgical outcome.

This distinguished senior gentleman now needs a forerver retirement home! Baloo has gone through alot of rehabilitation and medical attention during his time at our rescue after being released to us from the pound in horrendous condition. Baloo is an old bub, our vets have aged him at 8 yrs old but we think he’s atleast in his early to mid teens. He has arthritis and is now on pain management medication every night after a few trials. He loves everyone and is best suited to a home with no stairs as his back legs are arthritic and at times wobbly. He loves meeting other dogs, sitting with you at a cafe and having little sniffy walks.🪴🏡 He has lost weight now and is around 12-13kgs. This sweet, sweet darling girl is now in her final stages of recovery at the Marco house!☺️🩷 She has had another checkup with the wonderful Dr Ram at Canning Vale Vet and her stitches look great and will be taken out next week. (Her little face will be groomed tomorrow). She has developed an additional sinus infection and trachea discomfort after her dental, which we are now treating. One of her ears is also covered in lesions😢from years of untreated ear infections, they are also being tended to. DESPITE All these little bits and pieces, this baby girl has become quite the lady of luxury at casa Marco!👑🐶 Dolly enjoys sunning herself in the morning with my chihuahua’s, having her morning puppy milk and chicken, followed by a nap, movie and again…chicken or beef for lunch with peas that she spits out, and ofcourse a siesta💤 followed by some exploring, chicken and medication. In the next week we are looking for a forever retirement carer for Dolly. The perfect person would be a lovely empathetic angel who has a sweet little garden as Dolly loves exploring, no stairs and is home most of the time. Dave is an 8 month old grizzled Belgium D’Uccle bantam rooster hand raised from a 3 day old chick.

Dave can be handled easily and loves cuddles, he has free rein in the backyard and tolerates small dogs.

He currently has a constant companion, a small hen of the same breed who is like his little ‘wife’ and can also be rehomed with Dave if new owners are able.

As Dave lives in a suburban area, we are trying to assist his owners so he can be saved and have a chance at a beautiful long life! If you can also take his little hen wife, we would be forever grateful so they stay together.🩷🩷
