One track I did finally manage to tick off my "To Visit" list was Pithara Speedway Club Inc. Words dont do justice to how much of a joy this place is to photograph.
Plenty of good vantage points, especially from the outside where the track basically sits at your eye level, minimal dust and surprisingly good lighting for a regional venue.
The fantastic sunset we were blessed with was icing on the cake.
Also had the wackiest tow truck i've ever seen and I love it

Made it to the newly refurbed Corrigin Speedway, now known as Rod Slater Raceway
This track closed almost twenty years before I was born, so to see it resurrected almost 40 years after it shut down is pretty special

Dayne Kingshott (two T's, not three) hard on the opposite lock at Albany Speedway Club last year.
He would go on to win the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series championship
Is there a car more iconic than the Krikke Motorsport #2?

Enough to keep on livin'
With Bunbury Speedway's season finale, the 25/26 dirt season has officially had its curtain call.
Did I shoot as much as I wanted to this season? No
Did I achieve any of the goals I set myself? Also no
Did I have fun along the way despite my failures? Absolutely
Thank you to all my dirt track family for another memorable season.
Unfortunately we lost one of our own recently after a brave health battle, there will always be a spot left empty for you on the hill at Kwinana. Rest In Peace Reg🕊️

Despite weather concerns, the green flag is still set to wave at Corrigin Motorsport this Sunday for their big reopening, with Modifeds, Speedcars (Midgets for my American and Kiwi followers), Super Sedans and Sprintcars set to bring the heat back to the Wheatbelt venue.
So many people have put in countless hours over the past few years to get Rod Slater Raceway back to being race ready and the proof will be in the pudding as it roars back to life on the 31st of May
Excited to be ticking another track off my "to visit" list and for that to be at an event thats going to mean so much to so many people is truly special.
Are you competing and want documented proof that you were a part of history, making Corrigins speedway return something amazing? Get in touch to arrange photo coverage
