The 26/27 budget includes:

A new early childhood centre at Glen Forrest Primary School plus reverse cycle air con at Mundaring Primary School, Mount Helena Primary School and Kalamunda Primary School.

I am so excited to see these election commitments be delivered.

Every West Aussie kid deserves a quality education.

A big part of that is making sure our schools are great learning environments for students and teachers - with the capacity to keep up with growing communities.

That’s why we’re investing $2.1 billion in our schools over the next four years.

This year's State Budget includes new funding that will upgrade schools, expand capacity, and help build new schools across WA.

It builds on the 38 new schools we’ve already opened since 2017 - helping make sure families can access a great education, no matter where they live.

This is great news! During my time on council this was a very important issue. We need to protect our unique wildlife and this gives the Shire the power to enforce cat containment.

Amendments to the Cat Act have been introduced to Parliament!

If passed, the amendments will empower local governments to make and enforce local laws regarding cat containment.

Local councils will be able to engage with their communities on how they approach cat management and make local laws which reflect the needs of their community.

These amendments will better protect native wildlife and our much loved pet cats.

So that’s a win-win! πŸ™Œ

Urgent Care comes to Mundaring!

Seven days, extended hours, free with your MedicareCard and I heard a rumour that there will be an XRay as well!

I love this program. Unfortunately due to power issues these can't be delivered by clicking your finger however it's on the way.

Our kids deserve quality schools and I will always advocate for quality public education.

Please get behind the Swan View Senior High School community to raise money for blood cancer research!

We’re getting behind the World’s Greatest Shave again and we’re going big πŸ’›

On 30 March at lunch time, our school community will be raising funds to support people living with blood cancer. We’re aiming to raise $5,000 β€” and if we hit that target, Mr Serafini will shave everything… beard, hair and eyebrows included. donate here: https://www.worldsgreatestshave.com/fundraisers/swanviewshs

The reason I joined the Labor Party - Public Education.

Quality education provides the opportunity to change your trajectory in life. Regardless of where you come from, education is key to improving equality and everyone deserves that.

β€œEducation is the key to equality.” -- Gough Whitlam

Whitlam’s education reforms reshaped access to opportunity: from schools to TAFE and universities.
