A great morning at Cafe Denada in Brentwood.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a coffee and a chat. It is always valuable to hear directly from local residents and learn more about what is happening in our community.
If we didn't get a chance to catch up today, please feel free to reach out to my office anytime.

Calling all Tangney students in Years 10, 11 and 12.
The My First Speech Competition is back, giving young people the chance to share an issue they care about and imagine themselves delivering their very first speech as a newly elected Member of Parliament.
I always enjoy hearing the ideas, perspectives and creativity of young people. Sometimes they see things differently, and that's exactly why their voices matter.
One winner from each year group will receive a trip to Parliament House in Canberra.
Entries close on 20 July 2026. Visit mfs.houseofrepresentatives.gov.au to learn more about the competition, prizes, and how to enter. I encourage students across Tangney to give it a go and share what matters most to them.
Good to welcome Housing Minister Clare O'Neil MP to Perth.
It was great to see people from Tangney and across the housing sector around the table, sharing their views and experiences.
We all know WA needs more homes, and that remains the focus.

Today is Thank a First Responder Day.
Behind every uniform is someone who shows up when people need help, often on what may be one of the hardest days of their lives.
To our police officers, firefighters, paramedics, SES volunteers and all first responders, thank you for the work you do and the sacrifices you make to keep our communities safe.
We are grateful for your service.
What a great afternoon at Caralee Community School in Willagee.
Students asked Speaker Milton Dick MP some fantastic questions and showed a real interest in learning more about Parliament and how our democracy works.
Thank you to the students, teachers and staff for such a warm welcome.

Congratulations to these outstanding Tangney residents whose service and contribution have been recognised in this year’s Honours List.
Our community is stronger because of people who give their time, skills and energy to help others, often without seeking recognition.
Thank you for everything you have done. Your contribution has made a real difference to our community.

June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month.
Many families in our community have been touched by dementia in one way or another.
It is an opportunity to raise awareness, support those living with dementia, and recognise the carers, loved ones and community organisations who walk alongside them every day.
For those interested in learning more, there are community groups and resources available that may be helpful for people living with cognitive changes, as well as their families and carers.
The Reversing Alzheimer’s Facebook Group can be found at:

As of 4 May 2026, there have already been more than 3,150 visits to the Booragoon Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, showing just how valuable this service has been for our community.
That is why I am pleased to see Medicare Urgent Care Clinics made a permanent part of Australia's healthcare system in this year's Budget, giving local families confidence that this care will continue to be there when they need it.
Jobs, skills and employment services are important topics in this year’s Budget.
I recently had the opportunity to meet with the team at Training Alliance Group in Tangney and hear more about the work they do supporting people in our community.
It was a good reminder of the important role local organisations play in helping people build skills, gain confidence and find work.
Recycling plays an important role in protecting our environment, which is why it’s great to see Re.Group in Canning Vale receive $3.9 million from the Federal Government to upgrade equipment at its recycling facility.
The new equipment will help recover cleaner, higher quality materials and improve recycling outcomes for our community.
